FNC Reporter Megan Kendall: "Justice Stevens wants to retire under a Republican President."
January 31, 2006

Posted on 01/31/2006 12:05:42 PM PST by new yorker 77

After the confirmation of Samuel Alito, I heard Fox New Channel's Reporter Megan Kendall when asked who might be next to retire from the bench said, "Justice Stevens has stated in the past that he was confirmed under a Republican President wants to retire under a Republican President."

Watch her move, the woman is still in pain. She should be able to retire to spend her remaining years in peace, getting treatment for whatever health problems cause the pain.

Where do Stevens' rulings lie?

In the gutter. He is the most liberal member on the SC.

I would have so much respect for President Bush if he nominated JRB. I think Bill Pryor would be a better choice. He is almost 20 years younger than JRB.

I think Bush may have gotten over his fear of nominating an unabashedly conservative nominee.

If Steven's retires, it would be perfect. A woman would definitely become a front runner and it won't be the lady who ducked out (which in hindsight, I believe was a ruse).

Rove IS a genius!!

Ted Kennedy would have a stroke or heart attack.

I am sure the MSM has his bio ready to go.

At age 86, there is no time like the present. Retire already.

Good folks can disagree, and I think Megyn Kendall is brilliant, articulate, and most talented in explaining complicated judicial issues. My husband and I are very impressed with her reports, and we note, Brit Hume never has to interrupt her to elicit background information basic to understanding her report.

Her bio at foxnews.com is pretty impressive

I know that JRB would never buckle under the pressure, I hope that about Pryor, but I'm not as sure. Look at the Greenhouse effect.

I nominate Souter for retirment this year. He is aging much quicker than he really should. Pssst! You should retire, it would be better for you.

Yikes! If Teddy explodes we'll be scraping sh__ off the walls for months!

Do you ever hear those infomercials for some kind of laxative substitute? They go on and on about how we really need to clean ourselves out. And then for an exageratted example they choose a story that John Wayne, when he died of colon cancer was found to have over 43 pounds of "fecal matter" in his intestines.

Well, my point in bringing this up is this: can you imagine just how much crap is in Edward Moore Kennedy about now?

I am shocked. I never expected this. Doesn't it sound too good to be true?

Yes. It sounds way to good to be true. As replacing Stevens with a solid conservative would be a seismic shift in American jurisprudence.

I do tend to believe it because I have now heard this from her, Bob Novak, and my super secret DC source.

If true, this will be a very fun summer.

It would be AWESOME!

I know who would be the ideal candiadte, even ultimate candidate, to succeed John Paul Stevens: former U.S. Assistant Attorney General for the Office of Legal Policy Viet Dinh.
