I implore all Freepers to quit using the word Gay and refer to the homosexual crowd as something else. Queer (That's a term the homosexual crowd seems to like), Homos, whetever else but not GAY. Once my mother said "Those bastards took a word that people used to name their children, a word that meant something pleasant, and turned it into a dirty, degenerate term." This homo-sympathetic liberal culture has tried to lessen the true meaning of homosexualism by using terms that seem endearing. Lets stop this nonsense and start taking our culture back by not being sympathetic to anything these people do or say. I don't want to appear hateful, just fed up with this load of crap that's been shoved towards the Americans that refuse to accept their behavior as a "lifestyle".
Pretty much any of the keywords in a Morford article are fine with me.

"Sodomite," definitely.
Whether one is born homosexual or not, it manifests itself in action (behavior) and one can choose to abide by that action (behavior) or not. Homophobia is a mental disease which is an irrational fear of homosexuals. Simply believe that homosexuality is wrong is not homophobic.
Another example of language manipulation was the renaming of American Indians as Native Americans. After American independence, Indians used the term, Americans, to describe whites, as the latter were no longer British subjects or exclusively British by ethnic origin. The rise of the term "Native American" arose during the liberal ascendancy of the 1970s. The term implies that the Indians are the true Americans, and whites are interlopers, even though all that is considered American has European and especially British origins. Similarly, the substitution of "Latino" for "Hispanic" attempts a detachment of the racially mixed people of Latin America from their European and specifically Iberian, heritage. Yet the common elements that unite Latin Americans, the Spanish (or Portuguese) language, Iberian culture, and the Catholic religion, are clearly of European derivation.
Other cases of language manipulation include the following:
* Homeless persons and street people, for what used to be called bums and panhandlers;
* Fundamentalists, to describe any Christian, including conservative Catholics who strongly oppose Protestant fundamentalism, who support Biblical moral values;
* Insurgents, to describe foreign and native Iraqi terrorists who are fighting American and coalition forces;
* Graffiti artists, rather than vandals;
* Social services, to describe the administrators of the public dole, etc.
When it comes to language use, conservatives, even learned and articulate ones, tend not to resist liberal manipulation. By adopting liberal terminology, they inadvertently endorse the presuppositions of the enemy.
Will "Festive" be OK or will I be forced to revert to the ever popular "Nancy boy"?
Look what they did to the rainbow.
i knew a married couple who the man is named Guy and the wife is named Gay. I would hate having the name Gay but when she was born it wasn't a term used to describe homos. I think of gays as homos myself or sometimes fags, lol!
...no argument, as it appears that you agree with me that it is the ACT rather than the condition that is sinful?
Goofy.
Fag used to represent something good too. In the language of Shakespeare, a fag was a dagger, read the Merchant of Venice. Now the old term for dagger is ruined for me too. Can we just call them Homos?
Now excuse me while I step outside and burn a fag.
Funny thing about euphamisms: As soon as you dirty up one of 'em, you have go hijack another.
