Has '24' Gone Bush-Bashing? (**Spoiler Vanity**)

Posted on 01/30/2006 9:06:33 PM PST by Lunatic Fringe

So it seems that the plotline for this season's '24' is that a dark, shadowy conspiracy of white American puppetmasters is exploiting the threat of terrorism in order to 'secure the flow of oil for the next generation,' manipulating a weak, dim-witted President to achieve their diabolical goals of world domination and economical power.

For it to be a spoiler, wouldn't you need actual information about the future of the show?

This plot line somehow relating to our war on terrorism is a stretch. It was not a stretch when a major character took a pot shot at Michael Moore last season. Stop worrying about their intentions.

Do you honestly think the overriding message of this show would support the current leftist cause celebe about opposing the wire tapping of suspected terrorists calling internationally?

It's a great show. I hope it continues too. The issue will be keeping it new enough to be interesting, to the writers and actors, and the audience too.

I'm wondering if they don't need to have the action move to another city to continue it into more years... all terror does not revolve around LA.

I wonder where they're going with Logan... they're intentionally showing him as incompetent and weak. They're either going to force him from office, in the next 10 hours or so... or they're going to have to have him go through a life-changing experience. (maybe Jack's demonstration in the office was enough lol) We won't be satisfied to have the country left in his hands at the end of the day unless HE steps up or steps out.

That's not true, all terror DOES revolve around Los Angeles.

We have the most diversified peoples compared to anywhere else in the world, including by far NY.

We are under the thumb of fruitcake Liberal legislators and courts that all but ruin businesses.

And he appeared shocked, shocked his COS was a traitor! Gee, what a surprise. Logan's the kind of guy you never want to be President. Like John Kerry, he's probably buy BS before he was against it. As it turned out. shudder>

If you buy the word of a traitor. Would you buy Benedict Arnold's spiel? Logan may have been too supine to care about the danger to his country but Jack Bauer still saw right through him. That my friends, is the quality of being able to distinguish good from evil. A trait missing from liberals today.

Traitors do protest too much. Why, I remember Kerry loudly declaiming two years ago, HOW DARE YOU QUESTION MY PATRIOTISM! Its exactly what I expect from a villain. Its all for our own good.

Amen. With all that, there's a good case to be made for impeaching Logan. And the liberals wouldn't hear a word about impeaching Clinton. Fly moonbats, fly!

Spot on! Have you ever noticed, also, that, while treason is the only crime specifically defined in the Constitution, it is the least frequently prosecuted serious felony? Now, I wonder just why that might be, eh? < hmmmmmmm mode on >
