..evenin' all
I like that one. Good evening.
I have suppressed music these past years. How awful. The first opera I ever saw, Aieda...I cried...of course!
LOL! J
Sweet!
I went to that site yesterday. I heard a song on Rush's show. Typed in the lyric and got there. Sorry I don't remember it tho!
1. People who vote for Democrats/liberals;
2. People who use the word "logical" when other words would better describe the idea that they are trying to communicate;
3. People who think that they are too good or too cool to eat at McDonald's;
4. People who let their dogs defecate in my yard;
5. People who let their dogs run in the street, chase walkers/joggers/bicyclists, and get hit by cars; (I will admit to being not particularly sorry when a dog that chases people finally gets hit by a car.)
6. People who tailgate;
7. People who say things during meetings just to kiss up to the boss;
8. People who try to tell me what I'm thinking when they clearly don't even have the mental capacity to understand their own point of view. (There's some overlap between this one and my first pet peeve, but unfortunately, I find the problem even among some conservatives.)
Happy Friday!
Bill
Heading to Washington (state), if all goes well. I have some family there, including the-cutest-niece-ever, who I have yet to meet in person! And the tech job market looks to be far stronger there than it is here.
Still feel like I'm walking off a ledge into the unknown, but it'll be an adventure, for sure!
I did interview for one last job here today. It was a disaster, I think. Usually I'm pretty good at answering questions in interviews and being natural and confident and all, but my goodness! My tongue just wouldn't work right. *sigh* I didn't really want the job anyway since I've pretty much made up my mind to move on, but I'm more of a proud perfectionist than I should be, and that was an ego bruising!
Good evening, Walter!
That's a really good list!
He's been asked and asked to turn his stuff down. He'll apologize profusely, but he always does it again. It's like he's incapable of understanding what a normal volume consists of. And after awhile, I think people just get tired of asking.
That was probably it -- what fun!
Hello to everyone.
There are an awful lot of tragic themes in operas!
Which is why the goofy ones like The Magic Flute are rather fun!
Hey, carlr! How's it going?
Okay, beware Washington, of course :-) Congrats on your neice!!! Enjoy your meeting!!!!!!! I say that about Washington, but I lived in Portland when Mt. St. Helens erupted. I have been to Washington several times and love it. I just don't know if it is tolerable. I grew up in SB, Calif...I now live in Oklahoma.
Wish you the best, wherever you end up. I did something similar when I was younger--wasn't getting anywhere in my home town, so I woke up one day and decided I'd move to the nearest "big city," completely on faith. Best move I ever made.
