Am I the only one who thinks the threat of 46 years in prison just seems over the top, even if he is a spoiled rich athlete who needs to be taught a lesson?

46 years is a bit excessive. I do not see enough evidence to justify this. The Prosecutor is just trying to be overly ambitious with this case.
