Am I the only one who thinks the threat of 46 years in prison just seems over the top, even if he is a spoiled rich athlete who needs to be taught a lesson?

The papers always say that the accused faces some outrageous number of years in prison if convicted. It operates on the assumption that he gets the maximum sentence on every count and has to serve it back-to-back.

This guy won't serve 5 minutes in jail. It'll be plea-bargained down to misdemeanors, he'll pay a large fine, and have a few years of probation, just like Michael Irvin.
