Welcome to the
Weekend Singles Thread

Hi all.. I am going to start with just a few comments & a few graphics (begging for a caption). If you are home (bummer) and not out on a date tonight.. Please join us. Get acquainted. Be willing to stretch yourself & learn, love & smile. We aren‘t “hitting “ on each other. We are being friends. Friends help, love & make allowances.

Ages/looks/weight etc are not important for our discussion. They are not you. YOU are the essence of your dreams, spirit & soul. Share a little with us tonight?

Starting with some misc. thoughts. (and yes, I am qualified to state these)!

Turn ons (for men & women)

Other oriented (the world is NOT just about you.)
Consideration & being kind
Smiles
Touch (appropriate)
Loyalty & Faithfulness
Spirituality
HONEST charm

Turn OFFs

Neediness
Pity Party
Self centered - EGO YUK
Poor hygiene, slovenly, bad breath, grossly overweight (and you CAN do something about ALL of these)
Lies(enhancing who you are with “stories” that are NOT true or modified to a crazy degree.
Dumb bunnies… well good looks can start out something but rarely can finish. Turn off the TV & get some “learnin”
POOR manners(do you talk with food in your mouth?.. That is a biggie - but there are lots more)
Boring.. If you are boring you can get a life .. Then look for a partner to share it with!
Poor (love conquers all? But does it pay the bills?)

What Can I do to be ready for a partner”

Be real. Know who you are & what your can “deliver”. If you see faults in your life YOU CAN CORRECT IF YOU WORK AT IT

Focus on what I can GIVE/OFFER rather than what I can get from another

Beggin for a caption

Some days I don't log on FR at all. It depends. To top that off I'm on about 20 ping lists. Sometimes I miss some pings.

(Other times I bump my head and wander around aimlessly mumbling to myself.......sometimes for hours. Usually the neighbors finally find me and bring me back home and I set on the porch for a while till my memory, or what's left of it, returns. It's hell to get old. ROTFL!)

Hey Pack - I am not supposed to ping until 9:00, correct?

Or, what the heck, I can go ahead and ping now?

Hi. I'm having a few rum and cokes tonight. Are you having anything to drink? First time since New Year's Eve for me and before that I don't remember when. I used to drink vodka and OJ but I have visitors tonight and they wanted rum.

By the way, the visitors are liberals (my niece and her husband) and we have had a few lively discussions which they lost and didn't want to talk politics any more.

Are you having anything to drink?

Nope, not much of a drinker
Although I'll do an ocasional glass of wine
Sometimes a Margarita or a cold beer in the summer

I looked up the mustangs for sale last night. The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) auctions them off. They had a nice young Appy that the top bid on so far was only $125. I think you have to pick them up at the site. There were several sites in places like Wyoming and Montana, so I don't think you will be interested. But you may want to look at the site out of curiosity. They have a lot of nice looking horses. There is also a lot of info about breaking wild mustangs saying they are easy to break.

SATURDAY NIGHT PING!!!!

Yes, these are actual album covers! Scary isn't it??

Now that I have your attention....

First of all, I am very pleased to be sending the ping out for Scott tonight!

In addition to the regular discussion tonight, I thought I would throw out there a game that has been played on other threads. It's very simple, and can be fun:

1. As you chat tonight, include a line or two from the lyrics of a popular song in your tagline.
2. Everyone else's job is to figure out the name and singer/band of the song your lyrics come from.
3. NO GOOGLING! That makes it too easy.
4. If song lyrics aren't your thing, then how about movie quotes?

I have started the game off with a rather easy set of lyrics in my tagline (well, easy if you're around my age!)

In any case, let's all have a fun evening!

I can't think of any song lyrics.

Here's a movie line:

"What is your nationality?"

"I'm a drunkard."

"Well, that makes Mr. Blaine a citizen of the world."

Here is what should be an easy set of lyrics.

"Look out, the Saints are comin' through. Its all over now, ..."

Name of song and artist, please.

Goodness, I have to think of lyrics and a song?

I'm queen of the mis-heard lyrics!

I've only been able to bring in NBC and Fox in my apartment so far, but that is all I really need since it covers 24 and Saturday Night Live.

Watching Cops right now. It's so awesome watching the perps gets busted in high def!
