Exactly! The only times they look at mid-week box office figures is when a film premieres. All other measurements are taken over the weekend when most people go to the movies. If you look at those numbers, Brokeback Mountain is in 9th place.
That was before the Golden Globes, though. Will be interesting to see if it's in 9th place this weekend.

It's playing in every theater in Plano. Go to Fandango and check it out. It has been at the Cinemark on Legacy since day-one...

having consumed their 10th bag of popcorn Sadly, I suspect popcorn is not all they are consuming.

I think that explains some of the movie's "popularity". I wonder if sodomites are buying tickets again and again just to keep keep the box office piling up. There have been reports of 'sold out' but nearly empty theatres. On the other hand; I'm SURE there is a LOT of 'repeat viewing' at sodomite art theatres.

As for Narnia, I think it would've been much more impressive if I saw it before the LOTR movies. Kinda suffered by comparison.
Yeah, I enjoyed Narnia but it wasn't that great. I bet that if you asked a bunch of 12 year olds they'd say Narnia was pretty gay.

That's why you put the back legs of the sheep in your boots. Dear God, will you kindly please explain how you would know that?

They're playing the stats on this crap movie like a Stradivarius.
I'm sure they'll sucker a lot of sheeple into the theaters and then spin those stats as well.
They'll probably release a series of ads next week with viewer reactions:
"You've just got to see this! . . ." "It's the greatest movie ever! . . ." yada, yada, yada . . .
Goebbels would be proud!

Awaiting the arrival of all the "it's a flop - it's a money loser" posters.I think it might do better if it was properly reviewed.
"Brokebutt Mountain, the story of two men who liked each other so much they felt compelled to insert their penises into each other's rectums".

$740,000 for one day
Divided by 648 theatres = $1,142
Let's say it had three showings in one day = $381
Divided by average of $6 per ticket= Approx 64 people per showing.
Big Blockbuster.

Or I should say, "Bag of Popcorn." Is that what they're calling it these days?
To: Lee_Marvin
That's funny. I dont know anbody that has gone to see it. Sounds like a hoax to me.
To: MarineBrat
My very upstanding Christian mother was headed out the door to see it when she heard something on the news and discovered what it was really about. She'd thought it was just another cowboy/western and was mortified to think she might have ended up in the audience. rofl!
I must be evil because I'd have paid money to see THAT! :\

Oh.... uh.... ummmm.... I heard it? Somewhere?
