HA! Go ahead, Stephen, it's a useless gesture. Why would anyone care if people knew they were shopping in a legal retail establishment? If I walk into a store, I don't care who knows about it.

I'll stand outside a movie theater that's playing one of Stephen's films and photograph the people going in.
Wonder who'd be more ashamed?

That weirdly Dieter-esque, pouty "Glamour Shots" PR photo does not cause the phrase "born again Christian" to spring immediately to mind. He looks more like an aging porn star himself.

He appeared on Howard Stern's show as recently as July 2004:

Howard Stern does more and worse damage to American culture than any porn store.
Just another Baldwin jerk.

I agree with his position, I'm just not sure that publishing names and license plates is the best way to go about opposing it.
OTOH, if someone cares enough to oppose it at all, it ill-behooves me to complain too much about it.
Just because it's legal doesn't mean it's right.

What's with these Baldwins and cameras? One kicks a photographer in the nuts for taking his picture and now this one wants to harass law abiding citizens.
To: Liz
Kudos for Stephen Baldwin. My respect for him grows even more.

Some of ....actually...most of the answers posted here are appalling!
With all the deviancy, sex and homosexual agendas, blasphemy, etc. in the country...
...we finally have someone who is not ashamed of his Christianity and trying to make a difference....
...but many of you are cutting him to pieces!
What I've seen of and from him since his conversion appears genuine and real.
And the Bible is very clear about that too!
It says 'blessed is he who is persecuted for my sake'....
Think about it.....do you really want to be included with persecutors....(this persecution being in the form of name calling) against this Christian man?

Good for him, a celebrity doing something right for a change. I hope it shames the customers into staying away.

Obtaining the license plate numbers sounds like the easy part. Is there a database easily accessible by the public to get the name associated with a particular plate?

Good for him. It is really embarrassing for me when my family drives by the huge pink building that has in bold letters ADULT ONLY. When my daughter was eight she asked what they sold. I believe these smut stores should be less noticeable. Surely those that frequent these establishments would find them.
To: Liz
If he can bring attention to the cause of removing a little scum from the neighborhood, I wish him luck.

If I am near Nyack, I'd love to walk into the store with the missus and walk out with a long, thick, veined love-toy and pose for Stephen. Then I'd have my wife take a picture of me next to Stephen while holding the toy.
The store should really incorporate him into their advertising. "Come on down to the 'Palace of Love' and be greeted by one of the Baldwins!"
