PEEPIN' STEPHEN: Stephen Baldwin, a born-again Christian, plans to snap photos of license plates of people going into a Nyack store once it's a sex shop, then publicize their names. Photo: Djamilla Rosa/WireImage.com
Actor Stephen Baldwin has his shorts in a bunch over a sex shop opening near his estate in Rockland County.....
The least-known of the Baldwins, Stephen, a born-again Christian, parked himself outside the Route 59 location in Nyack and took snapshots of construction workers walking in and out of the building.
Once the smut shop opens in a few months, the 39-year-old star of "The Usual Suspects" plans to photograph patrons' license plates and run their names in the local newspaper to shame them from ever returning.
His beef is that the store is within a quarter-mile of the community's residential area. "This is a thoroughfare that I drive by many, many times as do college kids, mothers with their children," Baldwin said.
He said he and other residents protested at Nyack planning-board meetings and asked the owner, Quintus Algama of Hollis, Queens, to choose a more distant location, but he wouldn't listen.
In addition to selling sex toys and porn, the shop will also feature video booths where patrons can watch hardcore flicks in total privacy.
"These guys want to do this business, God bless 'em. That's between them and God. They'll have to deal with that for eternity. But the people of Nyack do not want this location where it is," Baldwin said.
Baldwin said he's already enlisted the help of dozens of students of nearby Nyack College who'll be at the store the day it opens to protest.

How many films has he done lately?
I'll give him that one, although his performance wasn't nearly as nuanced as in "The Flintstones in Viva Rock Vegas", which I consider his pinnacle. : )
Well said! Thank you!
Stephen does NOT look as happy as a little girl...
LOL...I even frequent pet stores! Keep your mind out of THAT gutter.
Not too many, unless you count made-for-video.
Heh, heh. ; )
I wouldn't, unless I ran into him while my mistress was with me.. or his was with him.
I don't know the particulars of this shop, but I know one that opened in my town got all kinds of folks acting aginst it before it opened... and frankly the location, while on a busy road, was far far away from anything else, no housing, no other strip malls... and frankly from a "concern" standpoint I don't think the owners could have chosen a better location... but, that didn't stop some folks from protesting and complaining...
Of course once it opened, they slowly disappeared and there has been no issues with the store to my knowlege since its opening 7+ years ago now.
Really, 'ol Steven must give heartburn to the rest of his family. And probably laughs while doing it.
Sounds good, hope it works.
The presumption being made is that everyone who enters these sorts of businesses is doing so for fornication or adultery or sodomy...
I hate to break this to ya, but if married couples didn't buy this kind of stuff... there would be a hell of a lot less of it. That whole tupperware type company that has naughty parties just to sell the stuff in groups to women in their own homes doesn't exist because their isn't a market.
I don't know either. When you find out, let me know I may want to try it. If it is hetro.
If you have to go to a store for it, I don't want any. I have a perfectly nice husband at home.
Good Point.
I agree with that.
Obtaining the license plate numbers sounds like the easy part. Is there a database easily accessible by the public to get the name associated with a particular plate?
Think about it.....do you really want to be included with persecutors....(this persecution being in the form of name calling) against this Christian man?
Pretty low standards of persecution... I think in the early church you had to get crucified or stoned to count as "persecuted". Now a mean look can get you a Divine Blessing.
"Dieter-esque, pouty "Glamour Shots" PR photo "
LOL-LOL-LOL
Where do you people come up with this s**t !? :-)
Interesting, I seem to recall the Bible saying.. if you see another sin, and do not inform them of their sin then their sin is upon you. If however you inform them of their sin and they sin anyway, they will be lost, but you shall be saved.....
I don't recall anywhere in there, it saying.. if they sin anyway try to intimidate, humiliate or otherwise coerce them from continuing to sin.
Amazing what "Selective Christianity" does to the word of God. I see nothing Christian about the activity that this guys planning to engage in.
