New verse:

Home is behind, the world ahead, |
Oh dear. I haven't seen it yet, but probably will.
*sigh* I'll try to behave.
Yah... good point.
Hope springs eternal...
Agree with ya.
I won't spill the beans out there and let all the FReeper chicks out there know that the BEST of the best FR fellas are here in the Hobbit Hole.
;-)
LOL! You're too much.
'Cept at this point, they're pretty much all taken. Like playin' musical couples...and I'm the one left. ;-)
Bah! Don't go all 'Marvin' on us. Time to recruit a few more hobbits :D
It's partly just interesting. Dynamics and all that.
I guess the biggest problem is that I'm a lousy recruiter.
It's not as bad as the other one. Don't ruin your morning, chica.
Yeahyoubetcha!
The rest of us can go out, find a couple prospects, and drag them back for you...
It takes a lot of time, something many young couples are just not willing to invest. They think nothing of jumping in the sack on the first date, then wonder why he or she never calls. DUH! They've gotten what they wanted and they're moving on to the next mark. Taking to time to get to know the other person, to see that person in many different social and family situations gives really good clues as to what life with them would be like.
Unfortunately, many folks think love will conquer all, and it just ain't so. Loving feelings wax and wane over the course of a marriage, and both people need to trust that neither one is going anywhere, so they might as well work on it to make it better.
Yeah, you right!
That's very close to the way my Dad puts it.
Just got to pick the right threads. Jen found me on a homeschooling one.
Going back over old posts heheh...
Yeah, well, romance novels and movies have totally distorted what marriage is like. It ain't all wine and roses, but without the tough times, you wouldn't really appreciate the good times! Thankfully we've had 30 years that have only had a few little rough spots, but as I said before, we knew that neither of us was going anywhere! SirKit's Mom used to joke that she and his Dad made a pact a long time ago that the first one to leave had to take all the kids. Needless to say, they stuck it out, and had almost 60 years together, again, with some rough spots, but mostly good.
Just one thing about getting more people...
And you followed her back here, huh?
Don't let them
