Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
And there are many paths to tread
New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
|
|
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
|
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

That's because I don't let him get close enough to my desk to see a picture like that. However this shiny ring on my finger ought to do the job just fine :-D

"Item is Temporarily Oversold" suggests there would be plenty of items left if only those pesky customers hadn't bought so many. The item will only be restocked if it won't foil some other part of the management master plan or isn't too much of a hassle.*snort* Does IKEA have the option to have an item shipped to the closest store, then you can go and pick it up and avoid the shipping costs? Probably not, considering it's attitude toward the shoppers who actually make it into the store!

On the other hand, it might simply attract another class of wacko. That is true.

Heh heh! Steve has that picture printed up and on the wall by his desk!
I've considered putting it up on our front door with a note under it "The lady of the house."

Well, I have been gardening ALL DAY for the past two days. We dug our bed down really deep...20 inches deep... and lined it with hardware cloth which we cut to fit and literally sewed the seams with wire. Then we filled it back in and positioned the concrete blocks. I intend to get some garden soil mix and fill it up to the top. I'm uploading pictures right now...will post a link here in a bit.
Hopefully we won't loose anything to gophers from this bed.

Some of the hobbits are being deliberately obtuse... Hey! I've been working out...what? Oh you said hobbits...nevermind...
In other news, I am back from Nana's dr. appt. So, we're sitting in there and after fifteen minutes of telling thedoctor everything that's wrong I hear her say...
"I don't like to talk much about what's wrong with me."
I stood up and said "Excuse me. There's some mistake. I must have left my mother-in-law in a different examination room..."

I've been wanting to ask but felt stupid for not knowing...what is hardware cloth? Like screen, I'd assume?
To: RosieCotton
It's kinda like chicken wire, but it's got squares, you know? Rabbit cages are made out of it.

Looks great, 2J. That's a lot of work done!! Even if you don't get the chance to plant much for a while, the hard work will have been done!
