Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
And there are many paths to tread
New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
|
|
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
|
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

I was hoping they'd get back together. Remember the rumors flying about a reunion tour a few years back?
DLR's ego keeps mucking it up. Sheesh.
And he ain't as cute as he once was, so he can't get away with it as easily. hehehehe....
When you saw them, was it the Monsters Of Rock Tour?

It was, as a matter of fact. Van Hagar, Scorpions I think.... can't remember who else.

Maybe DLR isn't so up to the task, anymore... I mean... he's got a lot of rough miles on 'im. Not everybody can keep on doin' it like Jagger & Co.

especially if most of your appeal was your looks. For Jagger it never was... and that probably works in his favor now ;~D

Led Zeppelin wannabe-band (can't remember)
Metallica
Dokken
Scorpions
Van Halen
It was a great show! My BF at the time pulled me out before Metallica came onstage. I argued with him up until they started to play. Then I saw the folks come out of that mosh pit. There was plenty of blood. EEK!
I still have the t-shirt from that concert tucked away for memories.

I dunno. Seems to me that he could still ~sing~ the tunes and strut around stage.
But his famous acrobatic stunts would definitely be absent. No more jumping off the drum riser in a full split. :-D

We did Dinner and a movie. Dune was on HDNet Movies tonight. I'd put a pot roast and veggies in the slow cooker this morning around 2am, so it was nice and tender when the movie started at 5:45. It was the 'Art Deco', Dino de Laurentis version, and I really like it! It certainly was gorgeous in HD!

Um...his fashion sense is...interesting.

There is a billboard in the Boston area with a much older David Lee Roth, with short brown hair. I didn't realize it was him. It looks like he's been rode hard and put up wet.

And DLR ain't ~half~ as bad-looking as Vince Neil was when I saw him on his solo tour.
Looked like good ol' Vince was still wearing the same spandex he wore during the Theatre Of Pain tour. Even though he wasn't skinny anymore.
*shudder*

That kind of get-up was par for the course in the 80s hair-band days.
And it was dead sexy back then.
Chick and guy rockers wore the same outfit! LOL!
