Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
And there are many paths to tread
New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
|
|
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
|
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

I'd like a good stereo system, and for classical type stuff you gotta turn it up a little just to hear the softer parts and all...but there's such a thing as so loud it's no longer fun to listen. IMO, at least.
And I wouldn't feel OK with playing anything loud if I was in a building where I was like to bother other folks. I'm overly worried about that...so it's hard to comprehend the other extreme. ;-)

You're just too old. You seem to have skipped that part of your development, and it's too late now. ;~D

Depends on how many beans are in the pot. Good rule of thumb is to have 3-4 inches of water above the beans.
You can always add more.

*sigh*
I was living in the barracks at the time when I shoulda been irritating other folks.
I feel so...deprived.
At least I played guitar a whole bunch then. Acoustic, though. I really missed out...

I'd be very disappointed if someone thought I was normal.

~sigh~ Brings back memories.
Saw Eddie play that not 5 feet away from me. I was in the front row, in the field of the Orange Bowl.
Unfortunately, it was already Van Hagar then.

'Nite folks.
I'm gonna go watch something Netflix-ish. I'd open a bottle of wine, but I'd prolly just fall asleep that much sooner...

I'm still ticked off at Netflix right now. It's taking up to a week to get movies back - used to take a day after they got it.
I am not amused.
