well in 2002 they were just breaking up, not sure when it was all final in the courts.
There is decent picture of him there in the article, it is amazing just how "ugly" he has gotten over these past 5 years.

You know what. Cher might be a good choice. I like the idea of 'Blondie' as well, or Pat Benatar, but of all of them Cher could add something. I think she could be brutally honest and take some of the pressure off of Simon.

I also think they underestimate the general public's ability to spot their marketing ploys. The public missed it the first 4 seasons, why would they all of a sudden pick it up now? P.T. Barnum was right.....;-)
