for Tammy
I KNOW! Why won't he sing Ray Charles?? George is getting angry! :)
Ouch, you're right. Nadia fell off the map.
I heard a rumor that Constantine/Lt. Dan is supposed to be "Dating" one of this years finalists.
Has anyone else heard that? And who? Pickler??
Mine, too. I've had Mandisa at or near the top of my weekly ratings every week. My heart breaks for her, because we are not a society that's accepting of very obese people, especially women. I'm convinced that if Mandisa weighted around 120 pounds she would far and away be the leader of this competition.
MSNBC...is doing FOX bashing again.
Joe Scarborough just had a whole segment on the "professional" American Idol contestants..and mentioned Mandisa, Lisa, and ACE...(guest starred on a UPN TV show)...but didn't mention Taylor.
LOL--that can be your title :-D
LOL!
I would love to hear her do something from Dreamgirls: the quiet starting "I Am Changing" or the thundering "And I AM Telling You I'm Not Going."
I saw the original cast on Broadway in 1984 (I think) with Jennifer Holliday, and I had tears running down my face after that song, directly before the intermission. It was stunning.
That's PMSNBC.
On another topic...I still think the producers want G'Ace to do better. Did you notice that they had that cute little girl Seacrest talked to say she want's "Ace Young to win?"
Fortunatly, 3 and 4 year old girls aren't doing most of the voting.
While I can't speak for what's in Taylor's mind, it is a flat out mistake to enter a contest like this and then not try to win if you get this far. Did you get a chance to read the article I posted earlier today about the losing contestants (finished 3-12)? Only one, Josh Gracin, has a genuine recording career going. Only a tiny number of others are having some level of success in other aspects of show biz. If you don't finish in the top two, you have no realistic chance at a big-time recording career.
My one moment sticking up for Ace. I don't think guest starring in a UPN show makes you a professional anything.
LMAO!!
I haven't heard that rumor on any of the music boards I frequent, but who knows. Lt. Dan seems to be a fixture around the fringes of this year's contest.
I don't know ... Taylor doesn't strike me as that sneaky. I think he wants to win, but some of his recent choices have me puzzled. I mean, for Pete's sake--why won't he sing Ray Charles???
Their best makeover was Clay, and they've kind of gone downhill from there.
It's too weird.
"Lt. Dan seems to be a fixture around the fringes of this year's contest."
I just wonder who's "fringe" he's peaking under.
That's weird you say that about Taylor's song being bad... You know, I haven't seen Taylor's performance yet because Idol doesn't start for another 10 minutes out here, but I heard the audio only of Taylor's performance and it sounded GREAT! But then, I am kind of partial to Taylor.
Everyone sounded good except Ace Young. Bucky Covington came in just a little better than Ace, in my opinion. Kevin Covais sounded the best I've heard him! But like I said, I only HEARD the audio, haven't seen it yet. :)
Yeah I did read it. I know you are right, but I can't help but be bewildered by his song choice this week and a couple of weeks back. Hopefully next week will be better. I still love him. :) Even though the song choice was wrong he did have fun.
I think Ace will sing "Walk Like a Man"! :-)
