Kellie did, however, look smashing in her red f-me pumps

They seemed to be saying that to me.

Maybe the voters will.

Morning, Hetty :)

Your post was so entertaining (more than most of the singers last night) that I feel compelled to rate your comments in an ascending order of hilarity :-D

A year after this contest, people will be asking, "Lisa who?"

Haha (and I agree)

(Elliot) Your voice sounded great tonight, but what a nothingburger of a song.

LOL "Nothingburger"--I have to remember that one :)

Katherine: Best performance I've seen her give, and her hooters were on full display. If she can't get votes with that combo, I don't know what could possibly do it.

LOL!

Ace: Wow, dude. Two words: Train wreck. If there was a single note that was actually *on* the note, I missed it. You are just not pretty enough to make up for that performance.

ROFL!

(Gherkin) She did, however, look smashing in her red f-me pumps ("On Sale! Yeehaw!")

LMAO! I knew her performance was bad, but I didn't know how bad until Randy said, "Uhh, I like your shoes."

Bucky, aka "Fluffy": That was an ... interesting ... song choice. "Superstition" by Lynerd Skynerd. Whoduh thunkit? (Tip: Dude, get a haircut, and then they can't make you look like Marilyn Monroe!)

ROFLMAO!!!

"Lisa: By golly, she knows how to work a stage, doesn't she? But I still find her voice incredibly generic. A year after this contest, people will be asking, "Lisa who?"

I couldn't figure out what was missing from her, but you nailed it.

She's Stevie Wonder Bread.

That's three reasons why I like this girl: her voice, and the other two reasons.

"Superstition" by Lynerd Skynerd.

It reminded me a little of Stevie Ray Vaughan's version of that song, not that Bucky probably has ever heard it.

Hey jonny. Taylor, Chris, Katharine were the best last night for me, in that order. I didn't like Bucky, Kevin and it pains me to say it, Melissa.

I missed TAR! I completely forgot it was on, came home and watched my recording of AI instead. Oh well....

That should be your next retrorant! LOL

Oh I could fill a book with dumb things she's done and said. Like the time she called my husband asking what Italian holiday it was. He said none that he knew of, why? She said she had gone to the store and got stuck in a line of cars holding red, green and white flags out of their cars and figured it must be Italy Day.

It was Cinco de Mayo.

Paris is OK -- she's just over decorated, like a cupcake with too much frosting.

Love, love, love the SRV version. Of course, the killer Fender licks don't hurt...:-)

Yes! All she was missing last night were the sprinkles to go with that pink getup. Not cute.

Her extra singing shtick was over the top, too. It reminded me of something Brenna would have done. She's starting to become Brenna Lite.

She's just trying to stand out.
Her 'handlers' have been gilding that lily for so long, I wonder if she'll ever emerge as herself.

Nobody's gonna agree with me on this, I don't think, but I didn't like it. It's his first performance that I didn't like at all.

I might as well weigh in, too. Chris is my favorite, so far, and I liked his performance. However, I think the song was overproduced. What I mean is that, it looked like the producers were pushing Chris over the others--the smoke, the lightworks, the rock show, and I thought the music drowned out his voice. That said, he's still my favorite, but Taylor is growing on me.

You hit the nail on the head. Her performances are hollow for me. It was really interesting to see her right after Taylor last night. Taylor lit the place up. He filled the room with his energy and enthusiasm for the music.

Paris was technically good, but didn't bring that same energy or light to the stage. She lacks passion. I think that's what Simon meant by the wind-up doll comment. She's doing what she is programmed to do with absolutely no feeling behind it.
