Cold but accurate. All stats and no rings. How many rings do you want him to have? How many rings do you think Tom Brady would have if he palyed for the Colts?
Some players have a better supporting cast and better coaches than others. Notice how John Elway could never win the big one until he got a new coaching staff. Tony Dungy is the new Dan Reeves - can build a team to a point but can't get over the hump.
Football is the ultimate team game - Peyton Manning can't go out there and play defense - he has to count on other players. He also can't go out there a run routes or block on the offensive line.

The other bad news for the Panthers was that the Skins didn't win (not that anyone expected them to); if they had, the NFC Championship Game would be played in Charlotte:
So, for these reasons and others, an uphill battle in rainy Seattle next weekend. We seem to be perpetual underdogs, but we keep winning on the road -- critical regular-season win at Atlanta, then playoff games at the Giants and at da Bears. So, we'll show up...

Did Salisbury say Manning is all stats and no rings, or that he is A-Rod (or did he say both)? Manning is 3-6 in the playoffs, which is more ridiculous than anything A-Rod has done with the MFY.
