The ***OFFICIAL*** Friday/Saturday Night Singles' Thread
Exactly. And if we have the same beliefs, I want that to be because he has conviction about them, not because he's trying to please me.
I know interests are a bit different, but I can remember a few times where, to use music as an example again, I had a guy tell me "Oh, yeah, I really like so-and-so, too!" But then when quizzed, he knew nothing about them, had none of their CDs, and obviously was just trying to get on my good size. On the other hand, another friend introduced me to a bunch of new activities and musical artists and what-have-you, because he wasn't ashamed to state what he liked, and I got caught up in his excitement. That's much better!
I'm not sure which I am. I can't think of any time I have been in a hand-potential situation.
You saw Shnizzle tonight?
Did he ask about Fierce's ex-wife?
Sorry, I'll stop.
I like a guy who can argue passionately about his beliefs, but he has to know when to quit. One of my last boyfriends had a lot of beliefs he was passionate about, and would call me every night and talk non-stop for two hours about them. It got to the point where I could put the phone down, go to the kitchen, come back and he wouldn't know I'd left.
The worst virtue?
It is gender neutral, but those people that you have to measure every sentence or action because they are hoping for any reason to be offended.
It has been my experience that such people in turn can tear you to shreds in the blink of an eye without so much as a thought.
Now that is DEFINITELY something you wouldn't have to worry about with me. You would have to try with all your might to get me to say anything or even call. I have a phobia of telephones anyway.
Still better to be outspoken about them, whatever they are. If you're excited about them, that can make them interesting to whoever you're talking to. Just agreeing with everything someone else says makes a guy look desperate...and weak. IMO.
Kinda like how the best teachers tend to be those who are excited about what they're teaching and pass on that enthusiasm to students - though that's not a perfect example, I know.
Ha! Yeah, so there's that. ;-)
They have to know how to have a conversation that isn't one-sided. I guess some folks just like to hear themselves talk, and you might as well be a doll for all they pay attention to your side of things.
Hmm, that can also be a plus, not always a bad thing. :^}
Unwanted advances are noted, and yes I joke but I do know this can be a real problem. It puts you in a position, if you slap them, you feel you are overreacting but if you don't, they don't seem to understand you just really wish they would QUIT!!!
I must have missed you.
:0)
Actually, he does...big shoulders, strong arms. Forearms like Poppie (sp). And verynice blue eyes. and he's funny as all get out.
Well, it depends on what we're talking about. If it's political beliefs, then I can broaden your mind and make you see things in a new perspective. If you're into political beliefs. But if we're talking about MY interests, such as music, movies, etc...I tend to bore and confuse people.
Sweeeet!
Unnngh!
I will behave - I swear!
Ahhh, you remember me so well! < ducking >
But I'll bet he can't touch his nose with his tongue.
