...Though Comedy Central did not include the "Bloody Mary" episode in a special year-end marathon of "South Park" episodes in deference to the Holidays, "Bloody Mary" did in fact air in every one of "South Park's" normally scheduled repeat timeslots...

...Despite misleading claims from those who would like to claim victory, we have not permantly shelved the "Bloody Mary" episode from future airings due to outside pressure nor will we exclude it from future DVD releases...

As some freeper theorized, it would be just like Comedy Central to hang onto it for a few months, then publicize hugely the showing of the "banned" episode, LOL. It's pretty easy to find it around the internet and download it. I imagine more people have seen it already than most any other episode.

WOOHOO--another mailbox full of anti-SP spew for Evening Star. It's funny how they can't recall any other episode where a Catholic doctrine is analyzed. They never comment on Cartman getting all religious after seeing the priest in the confessional.

That's not an unreasonable sensitivity... I didn't want to see that episode again at Christmas - its gross - They re-ran all the Mr. Hanky episodes which are actually more disrespectful than the Mary episode.

I'm a worshipping Catholic, and I watched this episode the night it debuted. I'm also a huge South Park fan and really appreciated the message about alcoholism. I did not, however, like the way Mary was portrayed, and I will never watch that episode again.

But all this talk about 'banning' the episode? To quote Stan's dad, "I'm sorry, I thought this was America!" =P

If you want to protest, do so by not watching it, or letting people watch it and determine for themselves whether they'll ever watch it again or whether they'll purchase that particular season (9) on DVD. If they have poor ratings or poor sales, that will speak volumes compared to protests.

South Park, after all, only builds upon its own infamy, ala the April Fools episode.
