Kitty Humor is a weekly thread (usually on Monday) on FR in the General Interest section.
Among all the serious news, a little humor, brought to us by our feline friends is a nice break.
Helps us get the week to a nice start.
If you want on/off the kitty humor list (186 members) or you have a picture/animation you want featured, please send me freep-mail.

Kitty Humor is always a bright spot at the start of my week. I look forward to seeing the goofy pictures of other people's kitties [even though I realize most are photoshopped!]. Maybe some day my pathetic computer skills will progress to the point that I can post an image of my own precious Viking Kitty. Thanks for the laughs!

One of the CSRs where I work has a
kitty with a journal page.
Feel free to leave snarky comments and let her wonder where the traffic is coming from.

Here is a picture of my most favorite kitty in the world. She lived to a ripe old age and died the Sunday after 911. I found her at the San Antonio Humane Society in a cage behind a door. She'd been weaned too early and they didn't want me to take her because they couldn't guarantee she would live. She never learned to properly meow and got her name, Kiki, from the sound she thought was a meow. She whispered kee, kee, kee. Her favorite toy was any empty box she could fit herself into.

My next favored kitty's name is Brat. Brat was born wild but was one of the few kittens my (now ex) Mother-In-Law was able to pet. Brat earned her name honestly. She's elderly now and not in the best of health. It won't be long before I have to make the decision to help her to the Rainbow Bridge. She has kitty altzheimers' and a declining appetite but isn't in any pain yet. She's had a grand life filled with lots of fun and torture of her humans.

Please add me to your kitty humor ping list.
I found a poor, little, starving kitty, just before Christmas. We completed some work on a construction site just below a dam...and at a cold, Utah winter elevation of over 7000 feet.
The poor little guy came out from under the dumpster as soon as he saw us, just begging and groaning, pissing and moaning, until we found some cheese to feed him. He would wait until we left, then scurry from his huddle and gobble the morsels.
When we got in our truck to leave, the little guy came and stood in the road in front of our truck, so it was either run over him or take him with us. We got out to get him, and of course he promptly ran away. This went on for about two hours, when we finally caught him. (This is just sooooooo like a male.)
We brought him home and fed him for several days before we even saw him again, but he was very good at the whole litter box thing. We were happy indeed. But - the kitty, we've since named Diablo, has some serious mental disorder or short term memory loss, or as his name suggests, he's possessed.
When you CAN catch him, he curls in a tight little ball on your lap. As you pet him and speak to him softly, he'll start to purr..louder and louder. Eventually, he starts the whole nursing motion of pumping his little feet at your arm (and darned if he doesn't have claws.) He starts winding himself around your arms, and neck and face and head, and starts nuzzling your ear, purring gently. Oh he's a sweet little thing.
Eventually, when you have to go do something, or eat something, or get a beer, you have to set him back down on the floor. At this point, Diablo turns around, sees you standing there - like he's never seen a human before! He hisses, spits, arches his back and runs to the nearest furniture where he hides again for several days. (This is just sooooooo like a male.)
I'll post pictures as soon as I can find him again.
