This probably means the Houston Texans have a used Carr for sale and will draft Vince Young in the first round.
Well, drat....I was hoping he would resist the temptation, play his Senior year and pick up the Heisman.
And as valuable as he is to the NFL now...one more year would make him MORE so...barring injury, of course.
Houston will go ape to have him.
Good luck, Vince.
Matt Leinart's hopes of avoiding being drafted by the Saints have just increased.
A move he probably had to make.
This column sums it up.

Whatever Houston does now, it will be wrong.
Domanick Davis is a good running back. What Houston needs to do is offer David Carr for a trade for draft picks, take Young as the first pick. With the picks they can draft what they really need, offensive linemen.
Reggie Bush may be a great running back, but the average career of an NFL running back is only a few years, and they are much more prone to injury. Do you want to bet the franchise on this guy, rather than a quarterback?
well he has to cash in when he's hot.
Lienart made the same mistake last year.
I don't know how good he will be as a QB in the NFL. The NFL coaches will mess with his mechanics, something that didn't work while he was a Texas.
BUT, this means that MY BUCKEYES will be #1 next year starting out. Woohooo!!!
How valuable is this in the NFL? Ask Houston's Carr and Atlanta's Vick, both of whom are sitting home during the playoffs.
FYI, search function isn't working. I searched "young" before posting, nothing came up. Even now this thread still doesn't come up.
I became a Young fan after watching him single handedly beat my Wolverines last year. To watch him do it again, on the biggest college stage was very, very impressive. Reggie Bush wasn't even the best player on the USC roster...I don't see how he goes ahead of Vince in the draft.
Since we play Texas next year this is good news. LOL!
Good luck to him as well! It would have been nice to see him play one more year in college though. Well, except for the Red River Shootout.
Good news for OU that way. ;-)
BOOMER!
He is a great player. He ran for scores even when SC knew what he was going to do so.
As a Longhorn fan, I hate to see him go, but he left with class. I have never seen anyone go to the NFL early with more. He appears to have the blessing of Mac Brown. I wish him well.
What's happened to innovative sports title editing? Sports writers could create some of the most imaginative hyperboles in their succinct titles by ornate English grammar.
In this story we have a popular QB known for passing and rushing yardage. Various verbs are available to alliterate.
Young sails into NFL draft.
Vince was awesome against the collegiate Trojans. I don't know, but I have this feeling that he will have trouble in the NFL. He is too lanky to take NFL style punishment as a scrambler, which was a big asset for him in the Rose Bowl.
Thanks Vince for making our dream season come true. We all love you and will miss you. Show those critics that your the MAN in the NFL!
