That's funny. I got bit by a spider like that a couple of years back. It swelled up real bad and hurt something awful and then about two weeks later, all these baby spiders that looked like that came pouring out of the sore. But I think the two incidents were just coincidental.

I'm guessing a brown recluse. You need an exterminator, quick!

There's only two venomous spiders in the US and that ain't either.
If they wanted to be released into our garden they'd probably be there right instead of your kitchen. I'd kill 'em where they live.

It's a Wolf Spider. Don't listen to anyone else. It's harmless but, like all spiders, it can bite so I would kill it.

Yell "ILLEGAL" at it, if it runs you have yourself a Mexican spider for sure.
From there you will have to figure out what kind though.

Here's a picture of a creature that I found under my bed awhile ago--I can't identify it though...was hoping some of the wonderful folks here might be able to help.
If it's human, we'll do a release into the back yard, but I have a 5 y/o and I don't want to take a chance that it's a dangerous creature.
Anyone got an idea what this might be?

If it were in my house any identification would have to be done using whatever was left on the bottom of my shoe. Nothing gets to live in my house unless it either pays rent or gives me a tax deduction.
