"Springtime with Saddam"
"My dinner with Osama"
starring Tom Cruise and Al Franken
btw: Who in the world would do a movie based on a play based on a movie?
Especially when the original movie was funnier than the play?
A remake of "Looking for Mr Goodbar" starring Chelsea Clinton..
Cast any member of the sheen family as an American.
Despite having the 1968 version memorized, I saw the new Producers today and enjoyed it, ESPECIALLY Gary Beach as Roger De Bris who stole every scene he was in. People are complaining it's a stage show simply filmed, or that it's impossible to match Wilder and Mostel - and both statements are somewhat true. To me it goes back to the classic movie musicals, where clearly the film on a soundstage, but which is still entertaining as anything. Definitely will buy the DVD, and likely will see it again in the theater.
How about a movie about the Crusades that has evil Christians fighting against noble Muslims? Or maybe a grand pre-roman saga that portrays one of the greatest generals in history as a fairy boy?
Why did they remake The Producers? It's plain wrong.
What movies would I pitch to Hollywood?
The Rosie O'Donnell Story
I Was Anderson Cooper's Underage Chinadoll
Our Nazi Friends by Cindy Shehan
The French Colonel's Wife's Armpit Hair
Iranian Women Gone Wild
"The Bridge Over the River Chappaquiddick" ;)
