I've unfortunately missed out on pretty much any cultural inheritance. My Dad remembers his aunts making lefse and various other dishes, most of which I've never tasted...but it didn't really get passed down any further. His family was kind of broken, and I think that was likely a big part of it.
The grandmother I get most of my Scottish blood from is a geneology buff. I'd like to pump her for information one of these days. Only catch is that she's...um...wayyyyy on the other end of the political spectrum, wayyyy beyond Democrat (she thinks Communism just haven't been done quite *right* yet, for example), and outspokenly so a lot of the time. Fun.
That sounds just exhausting!
I forget, where do you work? I'll likely feel stupid for asking, but I have a short memory. ;-)
Wow girlfriend, glass of Merlot and cozy PJ's for you!
Thankyou!! :)
Thanks and to you!
In college in Vermont, I had a weekend job cutting pulpwood for the papermills. Not quite like firewood operations. This is similar to the machine I used:
I would guess you're a guy who likes "more power". I love landscaping but I guess I just don't have the power!
Am I too late... :) (pardon the aroma of Pepperoni....just got done with work delivering pizzas)
I think most of the "heritage" foods you and I share are only passsed along as an evil rite of passage kind of thing or they would be served in restaurants. They can't even sell "real" haggis in the USA.
Well thank you a bunch.
Pediatric Rehab.....
I'm THERE! lol
Mmmm, so that's the wonderful smell! You didn't bring some back for us??
People don't need the power, we have amchines for that now.
Cute, quick story: yesterday, commg back from Chuck E. Cheese's with 75% of my daughters, we passed a commercial land clearing operation. They all cried out "Go back, daddy, lets's watch!"
I melted! They are mini versions of me, except they wear pretty dresses.
God bless you!
Why am I not surprised! LOL
spot on
You say that like its a bad thing
ROFLMAO. You have to have some inherited Scot in ya. Damn, I'm Highlander and Rob Roy scot. It's all good.
