I'm not sure our screen names are case sensitive. I'm going to try it on you.

Hello everyone!

I am back from upstate New York. Actually, I returned last night, and then this morning had to travel to Winchester with Mrs. Chairman as one of our properties suffered some damage yesterday and we needed to take a look. Unfortunately, it also involved a third-party's car which was scratched.

To keep the thread numbering straight, I'm going to allow this thread to run on through to tomorrow night when I'll post the Weekend Edition (Days 1804 and 1805).

Welcome Back, Chair. I hope you enjoyed your time away.

Sorry to hear about the property damage. About the only way to avoid those occasional annoyances is to not own any property at all, and let someone else worry about stuff like that! I hope the damage was minimal and inexpensive to fix.

Nope. Case still open. When I typed in 'common tator' sans caps, it came through exactly as I typed it. Apparently, if there is no other one with a screen name exactly as one typed in, it will default to the closest case-sensitive one with caps.

It isn't just the caps. You misspelled it as common tater, not tator. That is why I know there is someone else.

Go to the "Search" feature in the UPPER RIGHT HAND CORNER of the the news page screen. Click Search, when the screen pops up, instead of typing in a name, click on the (find user) icon beside the box where you insert the name you want to search.

When that screen pops up, type in Tator's name, in LOWER CASE.

The Common Tator who posts to this thread had tons of there, and the name which pops up has the first letters of both names capitalized. The posts there are obviously those of the ATRW Tator. They are recognizable by style.

Just for the fun of it, could you please post to CT on ATRW using lower case only, just so I can see what happens.

Thanks for the correction. It's the spelling that makes the difference, not the case sensitive stuff I've been trying to decifer.

Being the computer science/programming junkie that I am, I presume John Robinson and Company have a searching and sorting algorithm that looks for an exact match first. If it doesn't find one, it will default to the closest match in some precedence order that is set up in the algorithm.

Yes. If you type in common tater in the search, there are NO posts. So, this is a name someone has registered but has never posted with. Once in a while I run across these similar names.

I still say its Joe Biden.

I would use the FLIMSY excuse that it was 'early' this morning, but there is no such thing as 'early' to me.
