Rummy is on Fox RIGHT MOW. He has said that when they look back on the work they've done now, the troops can be proud of having been part of this history. He is so proud of the troops and it is showing through. He says "we're on the side of freedom and you, and our country, will prevail." His emotions shown through.

Thanks! I caught the tail-end of the speech.

Back later...I should be doing something but got stuck on the computer, which is sort of like fly paper!

Off to work!

Merry Christmas right back to you. The breakfast egg casserole is made and right now the sausage for the dressing and for the stuffed mushrooms is cooking.

We are doing well.

Unfortunately the flu hit our youngest last night.

She's doing much better this morning.

Sipping sprite, and eating Jello.

That was such a sad story yesterday...about the bus driver's brother. How very sad for him. How very kind of you.

I don't have time to respond to you each individually but I want to wish every one of you the most blessed of Christmases.

May you know the peace that passes understanding even as you hustle about with last minute errands and preparations.

May the lights and candles of the season remind you that it is the time when the Light came into the world to overcome the darkness.

May the gifts you both give and receive remind you of the Greatest Gift of all.

God bless each of you!

Merry Christmas!

Well, kassie, thank you so much for your understanding and sympathy. I'm sure that man would be comforted in your thinking of him, his brother, and his family. Be not discouraged. He emphasized to me that it was a relief for them all as his brother had been suffering. He and I expressed to each other how there is no better way to go than to have your family at your side and just fall asleep. And, that's what happened to his brother.

I will pass along your condolences to him when I see him after the first of the year, I PROMISE YOU.

I heard the bells on Christmas Day
Their old, familiar carols play,
And wild and sweet
The words repeat
Of peace on earth, good-will to men!

And thought how, as the day had come,
The belfries of all Christendom
Had rolled along
The unbroken song
Of peace on earth, good-will to men!

Till ringing, singing on its way,
The world revolved from night to day,
A voice, a chime,
A chant sublime
Of peace on earth, good-will to men!

Then from each black, accursed mouth
The cannon thundered in the South,
And with the sound
The carols drowned
Of peace on earth, good-will to men!

It was as if an earthquake rent
The hearth-stones of a continent,
And made forlorn
The households born
Of peace on earth, good-will to men!

And in despair I bowed my head;
"There is no peace on earth," I said;
"For hate is strong,
And mocks the song
Of peace on earth, good-will to men!"

Then pealed the bells more loud and deep:
"God is not dead, nor doth He sleep;
The Wrong shall fail,
The Right prevail,
With peace on earth, good-will to men."
