I am ready except for mopping the kitchen floor, which I am going to do now. Then it's off to the shower and then last-minute cooking things.

I am showered and looking as good as anyone could expect under the circumstances.

There are still relish trays to assemble and the soups. The SOUPS. Why didn't I order in pizza?

I'm about to put the shrimp on ice, then I'll start the oyster stew. Once it's up and going, I'll start the chilli.

Hubby brought wine home from his trip to the supermarket to purchase my gift. The Poinsettia is lovely. (I wish he'd given it to me the day afte Thanksgiving. )

So, I'll wash the wine glasses and have that ready.

It's all coming together. The kids will be here in an hour and a half.

Back to the kitchen.

I'm finished with everything, including shower. However, should probably change from flannel pants and t-shirt to a nice outfit so people won't stare at me in church.

I just got home and was going to try and find a way to tell you both how much we appreciate your son's service to our country. Knowing that sons like yours are protecting us is what allows us to go to sleep at night without fear. And we'll always be proud of them, and of you as mothers who raised such fine sons.

They are doing the hard thing instead of the easy thing, and may they always know that America supports them, loves them and prays for their continued safety.

Ole Santa is loading his sleigh, Mrs Clause is telling him to be sure to bundle up and be careful and it is a 'yes dear'. I sent Santa a letter what I wanted but knowing all the time he will not get it for me. A simple request it is. You see we all live all over these United Stated, some are Yankee, some or rebels, some are,,,,er,,,,whatever westerners call themself, they TALK like northerner but that is OK. I asked for all to be able to get together but I thought a little while and I said 'we already are together, by KEYBOARD.

This old man, and that I am, will be 70 in March, never thought I would live that long Several years ago I found ATRW and started talking back and fourth with all 'youse guys, a little Yankee talk, see, see how you have taught me to talk Yankee?

Lets see now, I bet you are like me, typing and just wondering what the person you are talking to looks like. I even picture where your computer is and seeing you ever so quiet to keep from waking your spouse. Then again I see us, maye one, two, three of us sitting together. I see the most beaatiful people in the world, you too Dog, don't have to be a male or female to be beautiful ya know. Then I see folks with hearts as big as a #3 washtub, I See us smiling, crying, laughing and yep, even Grrrr-ing with each other. I see just a bunch of you that makes this old heart beat with joy, emitting out love so much a bushel basket could not hold it.

SO, Merry Christmas everyone, thank each and every one of you for being who you are, you are in my prayers 24-7 and may each of you have the best Christmas that you can have..
