I am ready except for mopping the kitchen floor, which I am going to do now. Then it's off to the shower and then last-minute cooking things.

I am showered and looking as good as anyone could expect under the circumstances.

There are still relish trays to assemble and the soups. The SOUPS. Why didn't I order in pizza?

I'm about to put the shrimp on ice, then I'll start the oyster stew. Once it's up and going, I'll start the chilli.

Hubby brought wine home from his trip to the supermarket to purchase my gift. The Poinsettia is lovely. (I wish he'd given it to me the day afte Thanksgiving. )

So, I'll wash the wine glasses and have that ready.

It's all coming together. The kids will be here in an hour and a half.

Back to the kitchen.
