Don't they look like they deserve a raise?
The 1990s. They made the city uninhabitable to the likes of me. :-)
think about it
impatient freezing NYers waiting for hours in line to cram in to over crowded commuter trains, hours to go a few blocks in a car, hours to get into Penn Station, $50 a day extra costs for some to get into the city.
is it like Katrina or 9/11? No.
Is it a Metropolis sized pain in the ass? Yes.
>>>"Oxygen thieves at work"<<<
There ought to be a Law
(I think we have too many Laws, and that for every new Law passed 8 should be repealed and in 30 or 40 years we might get a handle on what is Lawful and what is not, Outlawing these folks from sucking Oxygen / Public Funds ever again would be a Good Law)
TT
Those would be the fruitcakes from park Slope I saw interviewed this Am supporting the strikers.
Didn't he just get re-elected bigtime?
What's he got to lose? The strike is pissing off millions of Nyers. I'll be in the city in March. They better be over this by then.
So there is a silver lining after all.
Makes me glad I left in the 1980s.
They shouldnt have to import communists, there are plenty here as it is.
They can freeze to death this week for all I care. FU TWU!
Actually, I dislike the straight, balding, backward baseball cap wearing, wear shorts all year round, throwing up his guts on Bleecker Street on a Wednesday night even more. And the women who love them.
The fruitcakes are ok in comparison. Well, the oldschool fruitcakes, anyway.
A leader needs to have some kind of consensus to lead. If the bottom falls out of Bloomie, he will oficially be a lame duck before he is sworn into his second 4-year term in office.
I do not miss NYC. I love my new hometown of Las Vegas. :-)
awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww I need a raise.............snooooooooooooze...........ahhhhhhhhhhh
I know it's a pain in the ass...........I dealt with the last one, but the majority of us were not whining about it.
man this is tough.
i have to work like this 3 days a week because i can't afford to make it on 2 days a week.
Good on you! They should be fired. I'd start with firing those easiest to replace, token booth workers, porters, etc. Every day a new set of workers would be fired.
As many problems as I have with Bloomy, part of me thinks he won't cave on this. He got re-elected with a huge margin, I think he thinks he's got the public on his side. And if this strike goes through Christmas, he will, for sure.
The taxpayers are going to get pretty sick of people who want to get rich driving that train. I actually heard some union guy (not Toussaint, a white guy, Mahoney? Something, sounded like an typical NY Irish type for sure) say he thought they should all make 80 grand a year: 'cause dat's wat it takes to live in Nooo Yawk.
And I lived in NYC my whole life, until I was 30 years old. But these folks are f.o.s. and I am just glad I am not there now.
Stinking commies, they should ALL be fired.
Park Slope????? Doesn't surprise me in the least. Parts of the Slope were moonbat heaven when I was in HS there in the 70s
"...impose a lifetime ban on rehiring."
Yes. that IS the key. If they don't like it, they can lump it.
Problem is Reagan had military trained ATCs to call upon (my brother in law is one of them). Don't know what the NY folks would do for highly trained staff. See my prior post for more of my thoughts on this.
I understand your feeling..........I haven't missed it for a VERY long time..........like with inside of year after I moved out in 1982 :)
NYC is a blue hellhole and you reap what you sow
I don't want to work...
I want to bang on my drum all day!
