THE Soviet dictator Josef Stalin ordered the creation of Planet of the Apes-style warriors by crossing humans with apes, according to recently uncovered secret documents.
Moscow archives show that in the mid-1920s Russia's top animal breeding scientist, Ilya Ivanov, was ordered to turn his skills from horse and animal work to the quest for a super-warrior.

Turns out they were lousy warriors, just sat around watching hockey and picking nits off each other all day but they loved vodka and chess.

Wasn't John Kerry born in Russia?

Okay, I saw another thread on this last night but I just have to ask. If this was in the 1920s this was way before invitro fertilization right? So how exactly were they gonna cross breed humans and apes?

The gorilla, chimps, gibbons, and orangutan have 24 chromosome pairs, while humans have 23. So, I have my doubts about chances for success. But, hey, if it's in the pursuit of scientific knowledge...
Artificial insemination. Of course, there could have been some who just *wanted to* try the semi-real thing.

Saw this earlier. It's a good thing Stalin lacked any chance of success. Things will be different in the 21st Century; the future may arrive sooner than some people expect.

I heard about this a long time ago, so how could these be recently discovered documents? Was I a lab assistant in my previous life? At least, I hope it was a lab assistant.

Ah, I see. Probably word of mouth information by those in the know, and now there are documents available to back it up.
