EVERGLADES NATIONAL PARK, Fla. -- In this photo provided by the Everglades National Park, the carcass of a six-foot American alligator is shown protruding from the mid-section of a 13-foot Burmese python in Everglades National Park, Fla., after the snake apparently swallowed the alligator, resulting in the deaths of both animals. What the heck was that? It may have been a kangaroo judging by its huge tail. There's still a lot of snake leftover after it finished swallowing. I don't think the snake can slither away. The one that ate the alligator deserves an A+ for effort.

The snake did not burst from too large a meal. This stupid story was created by environmental purists outraged that an imported snake would try to eat one of their darlings. I suspect the snake was attacked by a mad dog PETA cult member.

Nobody's asked the right question yet.

WTF is a Burmese python doing in our Fla. everglades?

The pythons now breed and flourish in the Everglades.

The picture has been widely posted on the internet and some allegedly Australian posters that the "kangaroo" may actually be a Wallaby. They look like Kangaroos but Wallabys are smaller. Still, they can get up to 100 pound in size. Several Viet Nam vets I have run into over the year's say they saw snakes that had climbed trees "jumped" (or whatever a snake does) onto wild pigs on the ground and ate them in a similar manner.

Snakes can also eat a gazelle
