New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, |

Still round the corner there may wait |

Home is behind, the world ahead, |
I know losing your friend was hard on you, but I think that God was working you through that. This new group sounds so much more close knit and more of what everyone needs from BA CHEF. I don't think *you* need to worry about being too big just yet.
PEACH is hugh. I don't know half of the people in it. However, we found our niche, and we love it. We are still making new friends and really enjoy the intimacy from small groups.
I won't distract you much, we both need to actually work today.
It's, what, 50 hours to go?
A little less :D
*snicker* But who's counting? ;o)
I have an application that counts for me.
You know, I still pray that she'll have a change of heart. But until she does...if she ever does...I put no faith in her decision-making or leadership. She was part of the search committee for the youth minister of our church. When it came time to vote for him, Steve and I opted to abstain, just because we have no faith in her.
If that "change of heart" ever comes, I'll welcome her with open arms...I've already forgiven her completely. But even then, I'll remain skeptical of her decisions and leadership. It's just the consequences.
Counting? Me?
Well, maybe a little.
One thing I really like is that now, instead of meeting in a building somewhere, we meet in homes! The lady that hosted the meeting last night set up tables in her garage and we all could bring things we didn't want to give away. Not awful things, nice things for free. I gave away a bunch of nice items that I just never use. One of the things I got was 10 bottles of Knudson juice! Not little bottles...big bottles! Nobody else would even take one and so I took it all! I can rarely afford Knudson juice! I always just buy off-brand OJ when they put it on sale for 99 cents a half gallon.
Also got Steve some roller blades and a big hugh water gun for the jedis and a bunch of Country Living magazines! Heh!
I should be doing what Corin is doing. but I'm sooooo hooked on the HH. :o)
(Just like Jen's hooked on Talon ;o))
Heh, indeed!! Just getting prepared?
Hah! That is neat. It's interesting how things work out. We meet at the church, which is also where our CubScouts meet. Though PEACH isn't a church homeschool group, it is a give and take relationship. The church gives us time/space to meet and they give the church members the benefits of membership. PEACH is not based on any specific denomination otherwise. (In other words, you ~don't~ have to go to church there to be a member of PEACH.)
We have meetings every other month. I wish we had a mom's night out type thing like yours has, though. We do have otehr chances to meet each other... all the time. Every other Friday is park day, and alternating with that is bowling and skating. Every Monday is CubScouts (same group of people). On top of that we do the field trips and whatnot.
Seriesly kilt it that time.
Anyone here? *Looks around*
Obviously we need Corin during the day to keep this place active.
No kidding. It has been really dead today.
The thread just isn't the same without Corin.
It's been quiet... too quiet.
The kind of quiet that makes you worry what they're up to.
I'm here! I'm here!
Really busy at work, but I managed to stay focused and get out at a decent hour. :-D
Girls are bathed, fed and settled in watching a bit of TV before bed. Whew!
Yay Ruthy! Party time!
Ready for Lost tonight?
