Home is behind, the world ahead

Still round the corner we may meet
A sudden tree or standing stone

Tree and flower and leaf and grass,

Home is behind, the world ahead,
And there are many paths to tread
Through shadows to the edge of night,
Until the stars are all alight.
Then world behind and home ahead,
We’ll wander back to home and bed.
Mist and twilight, cloud and shade,

Fire and lamp, and meat and bread,

That's because they were afraid of scaring you off.
I guess that was a VERY remote possiblity but they had light-years to go for that.
I will take your word for it. As it was they seemed pretty shocked that I didn't spend the whole time with a baffled expression. And if that was not your brothers best behavior they you have them better brainwashed then I ever imagined.

They were on pretty darn good behavior. But they did not believe me that you were as weird as I told them, before you arrived. They were very impressed. Think I went up a notch or two in their estimation for finding someone so cool :-D

the little brothers put a damper on things most of this trip. ;-)Heh. when SirKit and I first started 'going out', I didn't have any little brothers, but I had a ten year old nephew, Kenneth, who did an admirable job as a stand in. At the time, my hair was almost down to my waist, and SirKit's hair was almost as long, and he wore it in a pony tail. The nephew always danced around calling him "MRS (SirKit)". At which time Kenneth's mother (my older sister) would chase him around with a fly swatter. He's 41, and we still kid him about that to this day. ;o)
