I have a soft spot for Paterno. He's the only voting corpse that votes Republican.

Amen.

A better possible victory and benchmark for the program under Bill Callahan. After the Colorado victory alot was said we had turned the corner, well lets see if we have.

Argh! I promised my parents weeks ago that I would pick up my sister at Philly Int'l Airport on Dec. 30th at 10:33PM. As fate would have it, my 'Canes play at 7:30 that night, in the best matchup of non BCS teams. I guess I'll be getting there a bit early and watching the game at a bar at the airport.

The Pac 10 received it's annual BullcS shafting so nothing changes. What a joke of a system. The final MSM Monopoly.

Without a Playoff it is only Corrupt Fantasy Football.

Go Oregon!!

The beauty of the Nat'l Champ game is that either way, liberals will have to root for a Bush's team.

Nothing exciting about these bowls.

FSU 27-17 against a bad quarterback.

Ohio State 34-14 against an over rated team.

Auburn should be in a BCS, they could beat every team listed and give USC a good run for their money...

I hope Oregon doesn't pull a Cal and get blown out and exposed, for your sake.

I always thought Auburn was a color and not a football team.

(Just kidding with you).

"I hope Oregon doesn't pull a Cal and get blown out and exposed..."

If Vince Young pulls a hammy the week of the title game and Texas subsequently gets blown out by USC, I don't think it's accurate to say that a 12-0 Texas team got "exposed". Texas got to be 12-0 because they had Vince Young.

Cal was a top-ten team last year when they were able to feature a very potent balanced offense, and that balance enabled them to control games. They had 4 athletic veteran receivers who could get open and run after catching the ball, and coupled with a first round NFL qb and two good running backs, they were tough. Except that by the time their bowl game came, 3 of those receivers were already out for the year, and the 4th (and arguably the best of them) broke his leg early in the first quarter of their bowl game against Texas Tech. Freshman receivers couldn't get open or make catches, they no longer had a passing attack, and Tech played a great game.

Tell you what, if Ohio State loses their two receivers prior to Notre Dame, they'll look as crappy offensively as they did earlier this year, and get "exposed" real fast in that one too.

'The Pac 10 received its annual BCS shafting so nothing changes.'

Yeah, 6-1 in BCS Bowl games since 2000, with all six wins being routs and the six wins distributed among 4 different Pac-10 schools (Oregon, Oregon State, Washington, USC). Also, the only loss in their seven games came when Washington State's QB tried to play with a cracked ankle and torn ligaments (although Oklahoma would have won that game anyway, in my opinion. They were on fire that day.)

I just wish that Oregon's QB Clemens hadn't broken his leg 4 games ago and could play in the bowl game. He was really a great player and leader for the Ducks. Great job finishing up 10-1 without him.

Have you seen Dixon and Leaf?? They are filling in for Clemens very well. We will take care of Oklahoma and should be a great game.

This bowl lineup sucks.

I hate Penn State, but they got screwed.

Everyone in the world wanted to see Penn State vs Notre Dame. ABC should hae paid them all off for that match up.

Rose Bowl will be boring. Texas does not belong there.

I'm still shocked that Bowden (with 4 losses) made it to a BCS... again, with my beloved Auburn, a much better team left in the dregs... we beat Georgia handily too... BCS is crazy that way, even if you're undefeated there's no guarantee...

While I think USC will win, I don't think the Texas match-up will be that bad, certainly not the laugh/bore that OK was last year...

again, it should have been USC/Auburn...

But hey... : )
