And Rca, I got a new weapon for my story in the works. A Stealth SMG (a railgun where the rounds do not touch the sides of barrel: they are suspeneded on all sides by the magnets). This weapon is completely silent (each round is coated in a rubber-like seath, as is the recever so you do not even hear the weapon being cocked or cycleing).
Cool, a portable gauss gun.

Oh my...my first excursion into the internet world was into Townhall an offshoot from National Review (I believe). It was in 1996? *laugh for those who watched the recent South Park about the Ice Man* I was using a 2400 baud modem I believe way back then. Just a group of conservatives chatting things up. They used to be pretty smart! Now it's just gone with the revamp of Townhall's website.
I remember using my old Dell '486SX/25 from 1992 (Mom still uses it) with 2400 baud to call up the Lynx internet portal at the Carnegie Library here in Pittsburgh, it was text based and to seepictures, you had to click and download them. I then got a better modem and an ISP and used the same computer at 9600 baud to surf the web until early 1998 when I got my Pentium II 266MHz which is one of my present machines. I've been online since 1986 with my Apple //e when I accessed the Fidonet BBS'es.

Hangin, in there.. It has been a HARD week. Money problems, more money problems... and JUST in time for Christmas.. Couple that, with being alone(as usual), other than my mother and sister, and this is NOT shaping up to be a good Christmas!!
BUT-- ONE area, where the Lord so far has been IMPECCABLY faithful, toward my family, is our health. Other than the usual colds, flu, and such, and my nervous problem , NO ONE in my household EVER gets seriously sick, or get badly hurt!! I attribute this to God watching over us!! Just a couple of weeks ago-- I had a tire on my van, that was starting to separate, just a bit on one side (I THOUGHT). But, it did not LOOK too bad.. SO, I drove on it, a few days, anyway. About two Saturdays ago, I went out to eat, with my family, and the tire seemed ok... UNTIL, I had parked the van, BACK in our driveway.. at which point, it went FLAT at ONCE.. I looked and the WHOLE BACK SIDE, had separated!!! I could had been in a BAD accident, had that happened on the road, AND, Since it was a Sunday night(the following day), and I didn't want to mess up my clothes from church, I decided to have AAA change the tire.... Good thing, as the old one was STUCK ON, and had to be beaten off!! I do NOT attribute all of that as LUCK... God does watch over my family.
Now, if he would just bless us a bit more financially..... maybe next year... he will do something with my script... if he sees fit to do so.
Sorry to hear about your troubles, between, I've been there and still am somewhat since economically, I'm still in a funk but I am slowely finding my way out of the woods and hope I continue that way.
Tire troubles, I hada similar separation with my 1986 Ford LTD (smaller one) on the right front. I remember going down the road with a bad vibration and I looked at the tire and I saw part of the steel belt. I changed it but cut myself on the belt. My friend plays a risky game on his F-150 pickup, he lets his tires go down to being slicks or worse, down to the belts and you see him sparking down the road at night as the steel hits the road.
I'm very lucky too with Mom and I with no major illnesses except cold and flus although in 2003, I slipped on the ice getting out of my Explorer and cut my left hand open on the pinky side on the side of the garage. Had 8 stiches including one for an artery and week later a strep infection set in and I spent 5 days in hospital including surgery. I could have lost part or all my hand. I hsve a big scar on it now and some nerve damage, it does feel awkward attimes but it is very usable. Sometimes I'm slow on the uptake but between that, 9-11 and the attacks on our way of life by the lefty moonbats and others, I think that pushed me to be closer to God.

Yep :) I got the idea when I was playing Delta Force. In one mission I had a silenced MP5 (which naturally was stil audible up close). There is nothing you could do about the air pressure buildup on the round as it exits the barrel but the rounds do not reach super-sonic velocity until after they exit the barrel. Although each round is more like a spike than a bullet so the air pressure buildup is minimized.

I am well aware that the 9 x 19 rounds are subsonic but mine need to pierce high strength composite armor.

Interesting. On a side note, the Soviets did have a revolver that was silenced, the Nagant 1895 .30 caliber revolver. I believe the gap from the cylinder to the barrel closed up while firing so that helped in keeping the sound down. Most revolvers cannot be silenced very well.

Interesting. I never knew about this russian revolver. I do know most revolvers cannot be silenced though.

Who's winning? I'm not watching. I could turn it on, but that would involve getting up.
