140 MPH through the streets and highways of a European city.
Great driving, hair raising turns and all shot from multiple cameras.

I'm glad these guys live in Europe, they would make me nervous.

Thanks for the ping ....great footage. I wonder if this is the same 'ghostrider' motorcycle dude that has been giving European police hell on earth. I get some underground vids on racing around the world, and several were about the Ghostrider and the stunts he pulls on cops. He totally 'punks' them as if they are utter fools.
BTW, if you want to take a break from NAScar and watch racing at its best have a look at the World Rally Championship. Those guys race around the world , along very narrow roads and big city streets, at breakneck speeds, with people all along the sides of the road. I remember once the navigator in one of the cars made an error (they have a driver and a navigator, and if the driver's job is insane then the nav's job is double so ....after all he has to shout forth instructions on hairpin corners and blindspots mere seconds before the car goes hurtling past them). Anyways, the nav made an error and the driver basically drove the two of them off a cliff and down a mountain ravine .....the last thing heard was the navigator telling the driver sorry and the driver replying 'it's ok.' They did not survive ....obviously.
The following is the WRC site where they have clips on some close calls.
http://www.wrc.com/page/CloseCalls/0,,10111,00.html
Anyways, the WCR is basically cars doing what you saw in the clip. And the ironic thing it is all legal (which is truly hilarious once you see the speeds those guys go at, and the fact that they do this on public roads). If they impact a tree, a person .....a cow (weirder things happen).....it is basically a tussle between Murphy and his laws, physics and its laws on force versus the robustness of the car's rollcage and the driver's/navigator's lives, and whether or not Lady Luck is smiling on them.

Yes, that's the problem (that I can't figure out). Once I install Macromedia the machine throws that at me everytime I visit a page where I need it.

after reading the forums at the site, I believe it may be.
they mention things like doing a wheelie while waving at the cops as he flashes by.
that usually gets their attention.
Per your rally advise, i watch it often on speed channel, and your right, those guys are crazy.
I like my racing 1/4 mile at a time.
Cheers,

Beats me. I did have somebody on a rice rocket pass me doing a standing wheelie at about 100MPH a month back. Held the standing wheelie for over a half mile, including a lane change. Got my attention (en mi muy macho minivan.)

Used to be a great pic of a porcshe speedometer reading 180 plus (I think) on I-40 showing OKC next 9 exits signs through the windsheild.....:o)
It was awesome....pretty sure it was pre-photoshop era....

Wow! I've been in a car on the hwy that the speedo went to 140mph and the needle was past that and stopped on the backside of the zero pin (guessing about 160 or so) and that was interesting but I'll pass on the city street thing.
Some pretty close calls there and damned good driving on both vehicles.

I can't seem to get the link to work.
I've been close to 140 on a bike, and a good bit over 120 in a car, but it didn't have a speedo.
My favorite rush, though, is still a 250cc shifter kart. Even at just 100mph, with your butt 3/4" off the ground and high-g cornering, it feels like an f-1 car. I never got that from any other ride. If I weren't so old, I'd go buy a few.
Thanks for the ping.

Fast and furious. : )
Been there and it's a blast, but that was a while back. Our roads are getting a little to rough for those speeds. Do wonder if the altima will do 160 like it says.

NUTZ!
BMW had made some great short films at www.bmwfilms.com
It seem the films aren't available right now. They were about a month ago though...maybe a website redesign?
