Las Vegas to add banking and make changes: Las Vegas Motor Speedway is expected to at least double the banking in each turn of its 1.5-mile tri-oval. Construction is to begin immediately after the March 12 UAW-DaimlerChrysler 400 and be completed before the Sept. 23 Craftsman Truck Series race.

This track is going to be awesome after the "upgrade".
I'm wondering, though, if this will impact the testing done here. It will no longer be a 'cookie cutter 1.5 mile track.'
I'll get over it, I'm sure.

I noticed Tony Stewart missed testing again. Since his restrictor plate setup is so good lately, I don't think he needed much testing there.
Also, I was surprised at how badly Kasey Kahne is doing. But I still think he will show well this year, also think he will place well at Daytona too.
Also, did I mention I'll be sitting in the 14th row in Turn 1 this year at Daytona for the Busch race and the 500? Just wanted to mention that. ;-)
Tony playing hockey coach in Indy Friday night.
Man, don't show that to my Girlfriend... she loves Tony's "scruff".
Hey! What an awesome picture WCG! That little girl seems totally impressed with him!
Why was he playing hockey coach? I musta missed that news! LOL!
Here's the story that explains the pics, although the pics were taken by the young ladies mother.
NASCAR champion Tony Stewart is to add another line to his already impressive resume on 6 January when the Joe Gibbs Racing driver tries his hand at hockey coaching.
Stewart will serve as 'Honorary Assistant Coach' of the Indiana Ice against the Sioux Falls Stampede at the Pepsi Coliseum, located at the Indiana State Fairgrounds, with fans seated in numerous 'lucky rows' getting the chance to meet Stewart and get an autograph.
The Tony Stewart Foundation, which supports numerous local and national youth-focused charitable causes, will benefit from the game as the Ice will pledge $2 from every ticket sold to the Foundation, while two collectible jerseys will be raffled during the game, with the winners also getting to meet Stewart and recieve an autograph. A silent auction also will take place, with proceeds going to the Tony Stewart Foundation. "I've been a big fan of hockey since I attended a Dallas Stars game in Texas several years ago, but having the opportunity to support my hometown team and sit right on the ice will be a very cool experience," Stewart said. "I'm looking forward to greeting the fans and the Ice players, and my thanks go to the whole organisation for supporting the Tony Stewart Foundation."
If I were you I would post that every day!! lol I would love to go to Daytona just once.
Kasey and the Dodges may have trouble, we'll see.
I noticed Ryan Newman is saying he's happy with his new teammate Kurt Busch, we'll see about that as well.
Tony skipped Daytona testing last year also.
It should definitely make the racing better there and help my driver too. :)
And by the way, WCG, did I mention I'll be sitting in the 14th row at Daytona for the 500!!!! Just thought I'd mention that.
The beard is a bit scruffy...looks a little like George Michael.
Interesting story. He seems to really go out for his fans. Dd his team win? :o)
Speaking of testing and Vegas.......
Stewart plans to take advantage of an early break in the schedule to take a real vacation in early March. He's also being allowed by his Joe Gibbs Racing team to skip a test session next week at Daytona (veteran Mike McLaughlin will handle the driving chores). Stewart will go back to work at a test in Las Vegas the end of the month.
I can't find who won. :-(
We'll be waving at him!
The boy will go nuts again when the #8 screams by.
Dad's turn when the #88 goes by.
I like January!

Awwwww...well, that's all right. He did win when it really counted so I guess I'll be satisfied with that! LOL!
Gotta go do some stuff...see ya later! Have a great day.
Have that boy give a yell for the 8 for me!!
Sheesh Elliott needs a makeover!!
Matt and Jr look bored!
