COSTCO,WALMART,TARGET,BJ'S CLUB,SEARS,KMART
Is there a reference for this?
Do they have to say it in capital letters?
I'm for suspending Christmas....they come around way too often these days and my wife spends way too much money on the Grand Kids. They open them, take them home and then the next time they see the light of day is in the spring when Daughter has a garage sale. Bah Humbug!!

If this is an attempt at viral marketing, it's a very poor one.

Whenever I have a store employee end my transaction with a generic "Happy Holiday" at this time of the year, I have a perfect opportunity to remind them (one on one) that there are several holidays observed at this time of the year, but the one I am celebrating is Christmas. Depending on their response, it may be appropriate to remind the individual that Jesus loves them and express empathy that their employer is not allowing them to express their personal joy at that fact. I don't think it is preventing communication of the message of the Gospel at all. We need to be creative in our counter-tactics, not angry!
MAKE-IT-UP STORY ALERT!
Was reported on Bill O'reilly's show last night go to his site sure it's posted there.
Excellent.
Man, I'm a Costco junkie. If I want someone to say Merry Christmas I'll go to church, I want good prices.
Everytime I flash my card at the door or go through checkout I promise to say "Merry Christmas".
O'Reilly is not always right.
Wal-Mart will greet customers with "Happy Holidays" since they do not know the faith of those shopping. However, Wal-Mart always allows employees to respond to "Merry Christmas" with "Merry Christmas".
Merry Christmas is not banned.

In the years following the ascension of the resurrected Jesus to heaven, the Christian church grew rapidly.
Christians soon found themselves to be the subjects of persecution by both the Romans and the Jews.
In many locales, it became dangerous to be known as a Christian.
Thus, when two strangers met and thought maybe they were fellow believers, one of them would draw, on the ground, the upper half of the fish symbol.
Recognizing the symbol, the stranger would add a second curved line and complete the drawing of a fish.
It is a very simple shape to draw - just two curved strokes. It could be drawn quickly, and erased just as quickly if there was no sign of recognition on the part of the stranger.
Yeah, well I ain't ducking. If they want my business, they'll respond at the entrance "Merry Christmas to you, too" when I greet them.
Watch out for Costco's prices....I spend hunderds there every week, and generally they are better. but some stuff is just much more than you can get it for elsewhere.
Ho Ho Ho Haaaappy Holidays.
Nope, don't work for me.
Ho Ho Ho Meeerry Christmas.
Now that works!
