Any idea on when D/FW will get its allocation of women like that? Most of em around here either require their dates to pass a credit pre-qualification or have a psychiatric degree to be able to handle their numerous mental disorders.

I know that a lot of women are gold-diggers, but not all are. I've dated men who were struggling financially, as well as men who were obese or physically unattractive, simply because I felt that they were good people inside, where it counted. My friends have done the same, so I know I'm not the only woman who looks at men as people rather than just 'walking wallets' or eye-candy.

Turning things around a bit, there are also a lot of men who will only date 'hotties' ... who wouldn't give merely average-looking women like myself the time of day. In other words, it works both ways: there are shallow men and shallow women.

The bottom line is that unfortunately (for both men & women) we have to sift through a lot of chaff to find the grain. Been there, done that, got the t-shirt ;-)

I wish there were more women like you in this area :(

I would never judge a book by its cover. If she is a good person then I'll take her.

I've seen several guys like that. I think I've only had one friend that I'd characterize as a "gold digger". She and another friend (guy) were shopping to put together a dinner for the two of them. He said she kept throwing extra stuff in, "oh I'm out of shampoo, oh I need some of this and that and the other" all of which he was expected to pay for. lol, things really cooled off between them after that.

You're preaching to the choir here, ma'am.

The problem is that a lot of the chaff from other areas seems to be blowing into Dallas recently.
