Your score was 20 out of 25
Congratulations!
You're a Second World War flying ace who hits your every target.
Except for this one, I SHOULD have gotten a higher score. But instead of going on instinct and my first choice, I started to suspect and think they was "trick" questions... I thinks sometimes I'm too smart for my own good...
Nonetheless, not bad for a blackshoe.
Same here. Went for Ju and go it right. But the FW 190 was used for everything from a high-altitude interceptor to a bomber rammer to a ground support fighter-bomber. I was really tempted...
Thanks. That would seem to satisfy my definition of mass production.
20 out of 25...harder than i thought!
"Yeah, guessed that was what they meant.
Also, wasn't the B-29 "mass produced" by the end of the war?"
16,164 B-24's ere produced, the most during the war...i had to look that one up at trivia 'stump the upperclassmen" as a plebe at USMA
Oh yeah!
The international aspect made it harder for me. I know quite a bit about American Warbirds - but the others.... not so much.
I have been to plenty of Aviation Museums - and actually read the little plaques - which helped.
If you get a chance to see Bob Pond's Palm Springs Air Museum or the CAF one in TX and another in AZ. And of course, the Planes of Fame in Chino, CA. Those are awesome!
Your score was 22 out of 25
Congratulations!

Yup. As if the previous Nemesis wasn't fast enough! Clearly, the domination will continue. And she's so pretty! I can only ask myself, is it love or is it lust? YES!!!
Actually, Nemesis isn't nearly as fast as the Legacy and even the Thunder Mustang.
I'm assuming things will change - John doesn't like to lose.
And... when racing - the view is better from the front (and so is the check).
Darryl Greenamyer disagrees with you. :-)
This will have to do until I can locate it!
That word "mass" in production is not clearly defined. What they were looking for(I think)was, how many different mfgrs produced thoses planes. Only Boeing made the B-29's. B-24's were kicked out of Convair, Douglas, Ford and North American plants.
Gotta look into the Bong/Mcquire ace question too.I think Mcquire got his in a Mustang.
You're welcome, SAM. Hubby got 22 right. I'm not telling how many I did.
McQuire 38 kills in a P-38.
Stuff like this drives airplane geeks nuts. I've seen a picture of McQuire standing next to a Mustang named "Pudgy".
(Beats head against keyboard)
Your score was 14 out of 25 Whew!
Your great diving skills got you out of a sticky situation but you just missed your target.
Your score was 22 out of 25
Congratulations!

OTHO MOST of the questions were pretty easy
The Grasshopper got me.
Same here. All I could think of was the old tv series Kung Fu.
Funny, that's what happened to me to. The power of television.
I also remember the skit Rush did on his radio program back in the mid-90's when a young Bill Clinton was being addressed by the old Master as, of course, 'Ah!, Grass Smokah!'.
Not too bad considering that it has been many many years since I read WWII aviation history texts. Plus, the memory dims but, luckily, I don't depend upon history to fly safely!
Do not forget the Wright Pat Air Force Museum. They have one of pretty much everything out there.
