The media likes to keep a body count in Iraq and promote it. How about a running auto count from burning cars in France?

Today in France the transportation minister introduces legislation forcing auto makers to build smaller cars than they have now. The reason given is that the fires would be more manageable in size.

No point. The body count will be the number to watch soon enough.

An article in todays WSJ titled 'Bonfire of the Vanities' writes "The productivity of the rioters has been increasing rapidly of late, and France looks like it will be breaking its record for burnt out cars: 1,295 on Saturday night alone and 750 on Friday, 500 the night before, and 300 the night before that. This year so far, the tally is 29,000."

Violences: France 3 se démarque
Paul Nahon - France 2 - Pierre Guibert La chaîne publique a décidé de ne plus annoncer dans ses journaux nationaux le nombre de voitures incendiées

They will no longer report the number of cars being torched. That sloves the problem.

There's an active poll on how many cars the Paristinians will burn tonight. You can find it at an irresistable little website called

We might as well be glib as many times as France has screwed us over, but I do agree that our own government is dragging us kicking and screaming down this same idiotic path.
We should watch this closely as it will be coming to a neighborhood near us if our Government doesn't get its head out its rear.
The only positive thing about it is the fact that we can introduce these Islamolunies to the second amendment when they start this on US soil...that is if we aren't to stupid and politically correct to defend ourselves by then as well.

I have created a spreadsheet tracking the riots, including arrests, assaults on police, cars and buildings set alight, among other things. If someone would be kind enough to host it someplace, i am happy to provide it.

At last, the French have found something they can be a world leader in: Car-be-que.
I wonder: If an Islamofascist sets your car ablaze, does the insurance company consider it an act of God? ;)

Don't these rioters know anything about global warming, not to mention plain old air pollution. Whatever happened to recycling? Maybe they could just take the cars apart and put them in big blue boxes for recycling.
If the rioters aren't careful, someone will call the environmentalists -- then they'll be sorry.
(Do I really need to add a "sarcasm" tag?)
