France Burns and We are Fools to Cheer

We are all witness to a historic event, the beginning of the Islamic Jihad in France and the Netherlands, soon to be spread to the rest of Western Europe. As Paris burns, as the Christian infrastructure is being destroyed, as some of the most fundimental historical foundations of the Western world is now threatened, it is foolish to allow negative feelings for past deeds by the French or any other to cloud our collactive judgements.
We should not snicker, we should not cheer, we should not jab them in the ribs. We are Christians, might I remind you, and the wayward brother now suffers and it is a suffering that we are creating for our own future as well. Our Muslim population does not integrate so well as we would like to believe. Furthermore, as the Oklahoma University bombing shows, more then a few of our own children are willing to join that Islamic scourge and bring down the civilization that gave them life.
Instead, as Christians, as something other then petty human beings, we must assist our Christian brothers, be they French, Lebanese, Cypriots, Russians, Serbs, Ethiopians or any other, to fight the very scourge that will one day trully come for us as well.
If we wish to even pretend to be Christian, it is time to act like it. It is time to see these barbarians for what they are, not just a threat to France but to all Judeo-Christian civilization.
We either stand united or we fall one by one, a light of civilization blinking out here and there, until the night of eternal evil and slavery is all that is left to humanity.
So which will it be? Christ and brotherhood? Or pettiness and eternal darkness?

I view this as more of an underclass riot, just like the old USA used to have. France has a rather sclerotic and impermeable social and economic structure. The rest is somewhat overladen with tendentious theorizing IMO.

Amen. The preservation of Western culture trumps the anger that we feel towards the occasions of Frence arrogance. France has a Western Christian heritage, it must not fall under seige to a 7th century cult.

You are correct that this is a threat to all judeo Christan humanity around the world.... It has been since well before 9/11...
But this is something that Europe has brought on itself... and when we went to the root of the problem (middle east) to fight it they stood by and thumb their nose at us...and failed (and are still failing) to assist in this war on terror and against the rising Islamic threat... So you want us to show unity with countries that have been proven that during the 12 years of sanction against Iraq.. that they would rather profit from terror then help fight it... you wants to stand shoulder to shoulder with these people...France is a nation of appeasement it has been for the past 100 years... their is not fight in them... Germany is not going to be much better... So yeah we snicker at the misfortune they brought upon themselves...it has been a long time coming.
Until they prove that they want to be a helping member of the world community instead of a country that wants the power it held in the past, but does not have the ability to wield... I say Nuts!

It is our duty to live Christ like lives, that includes forgiving tresspasses as the Lord forgives our tresspasses. That is what we need to do with the French and by our example lead them back to Christ and the defense of Christianity. By snearing during their time of need we only uphold the stereotypes and weaken us, the West, as a whole.

France has lost a battle ! But France has not lost the war ! A makeshift government may have capitulated, giving way to panic, forgetting honour, delivering their country into bondage. Yet nothing is lost ! Nothing is lost, because this war is a world war. In the free universe, immense forces have not yet swung into operation. Some day these forces will crush the enemy. On that day, France must be present at the victory. She will then regain her liberty and her greatness. Such is my goal, my only goal ! That is why I urge all Frenchmen, wherever they may be, to unite with me in action, in sacrifice and in hope. Our country is in mortal danger. Let us all fight to save her. Long live France ! I agree, I don't believe it is an Islamic jihad. I believe it is something we will face if we continue as we have been for decades constantly passing a 'one time law' to legalize whole groups of illegals who have NOT assimilated and never came here because they believed in the US culture, political vision, philosophy. They came for economic reasons only.
Their loyalty and patriotism remains with their country of birth, their culture, their language, their belief systems.

Can't help someone that won't help themselves. What is going on in france, and europe, was bought on by themselves. Why should I lose any sleep over it. If any jihadist show up in my neighborhood burning things, my neighbors and I will take care of it.

Doesn't our government do things to us that we don't like?Do any of us deserve things like the 9th circuit's latest ruling, or the Senate's deciding that we can't mistreat terrorists? Why do you think France is any different?
When Reagan bombed Libya, the French government wouldn't let us use their air space. I was in France the following summer, and many, many people told me they were furious with the govt, and applauded what Reagan did. Just as Clinton betrayed us, Chirac (who is at least as corrupt as Clinton) has betrayed them. Do the people have a hand in their own demise? No doubt. But they are a once great nation who have fallen on hard times, and they deserve our prayers. This is no time for scorn.

France has nukes so we'll have to save them. Again. Unfortunately.

Well, you're a better man (or women) than me. I say "Actions have consequences", and France is paying for their actions with predictable consequences.
On a further note, I'd resign from the military before I'd take one step towards deploying to help these insufferable idiots. My grandfather helped saved France, my Dad tried to help save Vietnam (a French debacle from the start), I will have no part in the effort to "save" France if it ever came to it. They are too proud and stupid to ask for our help any way. I pity the innocents, but they elected the fools who got them to this point.
