We are all witness to a historic event, the beginning of the Islamic Jihad in France and the Netherlands, soon to be spread to the rest of Western Europe. As Paris burns, as the Christian infrastructure is being destroyed, as some of the most fundimental historical foundations of the Western world is now threatened, it is foolish to allow negative feelings for past deeds by the French or any other to cloud our collactive judgements.
We should not snicker, we should not cheer, we should not jab them in the ribs. We are Christians, might I remind you, and the wayward brother now suffers and it is a suffering that we are creating for our own future as well. Our Muslim population does not integrate so well as we would like to believe. Furthermore, as the Oklahoma University bombing shows, more then a few of our own children are willing to join that Islamic scourge and bring down the civilization that gave them life.
Instead, as Christians, as something other then petty human beings, we must assist our Christian brothers, be they French, Lebanese, Cypriots, Russians, Serbs, Ethiopians or any other, to fight the very scourge that will one day trully come for us as well.
If we wish to even pretend to be Christian, it is time to act like it. It is time to see these barbarians for what they are, not just a threat to France but to all Judeo-Christian civilization.
We either stand united or we fall one by one, a light of civilization blinking out here and there, until the night of eternal evil and slavery is all that is left to humanity.
So which will it be? Christ and brotherhood? Or pettiness and eternal darkness?
Actually this might be a good thing. If the Muslims had just had the patience to wait 20 years, France and most of Western Europe would have fallen to them without a shot. Now, it will become very very clear to those in Europe who wish to avoid bowing to Mecca what their course of action must be.
Who are the Sons of Charles Martell and Jan Sobieski?
Maybe seeing a few French cities burned down and hundreds of frogs having their throats sliced open will make the American sheeple put down their magazines and get busy with the WOT.
And we should do what? The French have proved they do support our values or our way of life. Is it democracy or Christianity they disagree with?
I know and correspond with some very good French Christians. Even there, there is a remnant that holds the faith. Sort of like Faithful at Vanity Fair....in the midst of the most secular stuff, God still walks where hearts open to him.
I am unclear who you think "we" is. Elected politicians maybe. My impression is that freepers generally are under no illusions about moslems, including those who are living in America. They come to take, and feed off us, and ultimately to dominate, not to integrate or contribute.
Pepin the Short, Charlemagne; and all Christians.
This is only the beginning. I totally agree this is not funny. This maybe WW3 coming. Maybe we will have to save the french once again since they cant help themselves. Tonight on Hannity And Combs they had a guy from france on and he wanted to deny that Islmic Extremist had anything to do with what is going on. Geezz
"This just in. Fear not! El Cid is on the way."
I was kind of wishing for Hulagu Khan for that special Mongol touch!
If this is an omen of BIGGER things to come [think 1993 WTC bombing] you will have a difficult time getting Frog officials to believe it.
and just where are we supposed to FIND these French Christians? I've not seen any sign that it has been a Christian country for a long time.
The story of the Prodigal Son is in order:
There was a man who had two sons. The younger one said to his father, "Father, give me my share of the estate." So he divided his property between them. Not long after that, the younger son got together all he had, set off for a distant country and there squandered his wealth in wild living. After he had spent everything, there was a severe famine in that whole country, and he began to be in need. So he went and hired himself out to a citizen of that country, who sent him to his fields to feed pigs. He longed to fill his stomach with the pods that the pigs were eating, but no one gave him anything. When he came to his senses, he said, "How many of my father's hired men have food to spare, and here I am starving to death! I will set out and go back to my father and say to him: Father, I have sinned against heaven and against you. I am no longer worthy to be called your son; make me like one of your hired men." So he got up and went to his father. Meanwhile, the older son was in the field. When he came near the house, he heard music and dancing. So he called one of the servants and asked him what was going on. "Your brother has come," he replied, "and your father has killed the fattened calf because he has him back safe and sound." The older brother became angry and refused to go in. So his father went out and pleaded with him. But he answered his father, "Look! All these years I've been slaving for you and never disobeyed your orders. Yet you never gave me even a young goat so I could celebrate with my friends. But when this son of yours who has squandered your property with prostitutes comes home, you kill the fattened calf for him!" "My son," the father said, "you are always with me, and everything I have is yours. But we had to celebrate and be glad, because this brother of yours was dead and is alive again; he was lost and is found." (Luke 15:11-32)
Perhaps your Christian concern would better if aimed at the people that allowed this situation to happen. Not against people that have tried to warn them for many years.
I agree with you that it would be a great tragedy if Europe is taken over by Muslims. We would then be pretty isolated in the world.
The question is, can we help the French if they cannot help themselves, and if they align themselves politically with all our (and their) worst enemies.
As for the destruction of Christianity, the French almost singlehandedly invented that. They have been destroying Christianity ever since the French Philosophes and the French Revolution, not to speak of Napoleon.
Even before that, France allied herself in the sixteenth and seventeenth centuries with the Grand Turk against the Holy Roman Emperor and most of Christian Europe. They helped Muslims destroy the remaining Crusader outposts in North Africa.
Nobody likes to see this happening, but it's hard to see how we can possibly save Europe unless they decide they want to save themselves.
What would we do, go over there, conquer France, depose their Arab-loving government, and drive out all the Muslims? I don't think the world would sit still for that, nor would our own people support it.
I'd be delighted if France had a change of heart. But it will take some kind of divine miracle to bring it about.
"as Christians, as something other then petty human beings, we must assist our Christian brothers..."
I don't think there is more than a handful or so of Christians left in France.
Let's face it: if the Islamists had not forced the issue, we'd already be conquered.
