France Burns and We are Fools to Cheer
4 Nov 05 | self

Posted on 11/04/2005 7:09:39 PM PST by jb6

We are all witness to a historic event, the beginning of the Islamic Jihad in France and the Netherlands, soon to be spread to the rest of Western Europe. As Paris burns, as the Christian infrastructure is being destroyed, as some of the most fundimental historical foundations of the Western world is now threatened, it is foolish to allow negative feelings for past deeds by the French or any other to cloud our collactive judgements.

We should not snicker, we should not cheer, we should not jab them in the ribs. We are Christians, might I remind you, and the wayward brother now suffers and it is a suffering that we are creating for our own future as well. Our Muslim population does not integrate so well as we would like to believe. Furthermore, as the Oklahoma University bombing shows, more then a few of our own children are willing to join that Islamic scourge and bring down the civilization that gave them life.

Instead, as Christians, as something other then petty human beings, we must assist our Christian brothers, be they French, Lebanese, Cypriots, Russians, Serbs, Ethiopians or any other, to fight the very scourge that will one day trully come for us as well.

If we wish to even pretend to be Christian, it is time to act like it. It is time to see these barbarians for what they are, not just a threat to France but to all Judeo-Christian civilization.

We either stand united or we fall one by one, a light of civilization blinking out here and there, until the night of eternal evil and slavery is all that is left to humanity.

So which will it be? Christ and brotherhood? Or pettiness and eternal darkness?

What did we choose when we bombed Christian Serbs on the side of Islamic Bosnians and Islamic Albanians? What did we choose when we made Christian Macedonia in all but name give up its western third to Islamic Albanians? What did we choose when we did not protest or stop the Islamic Turks from butchering the northern half of Christian Cyprus? What did we choose when we saved the Devil's PLO from the Jewish Israelies and the Christian Lebanese? What did we choose when we sided with the Islamic Eritrians agains the Christian Ethiopians? What did we choose when we aided and armed Islamic Pakistan that then used to funds against Hindu India? What did we choose when we forced Jewish Israel to walk the suicidal Road Map? What did we choose when we did not protest Islamic Egypt's expulsion of 10% of its population, half the Christians of that country, but instead continued giving them $3 billion per year for free? What did we choose?

Thump that bible! Play that kissy face game. Try to understand them better. Appease appease appease. How many more do we allow to be beheaded? Blown up? Raped? All in the name of fairness?

Save france? Ummm,,, no.

France turned their backs on us. Half our own population turned their backs on us in favor of france. It's more than fitting that france fall before we find the cajones to put a stop to islam.

So no sympathy here. When france craps out, and the dead are counted, maybe the left, our politicians, and all the peace pukes, will wake up.

There is only one cure. History has shown us that.

Tonight on Hannity And Combs they had a guy from france on and he wanted to deny that Islmic Extremist had anything to do with what is going on. Geezz

Exactly, and how he did it was totally disgusting. He tried to make his apparent language barrier the cause of his not understanding what Hannity was saying when you knew damn well he understood the question...

"I view this as more of an underclass riot, just like the old USA used to have. France has a rather sclerotic and impermeable social and economic structure. The rest is somewhat overladen with tendentious theorizing IMO."

You miss a salient point. The riots (whichever ones you refer to in the "Old USA") were perpetrated by American citizens who wanted nothing more than an equal chance to be members of society. (There were, always have been, and always will be thugs who just want mayhem, but I am making a point)

These rioters in France do not want to be "French". They don't want to be citizens of France. They want to live their muslim lives under muslim law on French soil. They reject everything France stands for. They do not WISH to be assimilated into and become part of French society. They want all the perks of being French without having to compromise to do it.

You are absolutely correct in pointing out the stagnant nature of French culture, government and economy. Such is the hazard of the "Nanny State", 30 hour work weeks and 60 days of vacation each year (or whatever it is)

You get what you pay for.

It is insane to call modern France, and/or Europe, "Christian".

That aside, what is happening there is not funny, just a preview of what is coming to all nations who disregard the obvious lessons being taught to France right now.

Still... working up any sympathy for the execrable French is a huge "challenge".

I'm waiting to see if the French will show some b@lls.

But, I'm not holding my breath.

We are Christians, might I remind you, and the wayward brother now suffers and it is a suffering that we are creating for our own future as well.

History will record that, in 1794, France outlawed religion and re-named Notre Dame Cathedral "The Temple of Reason".

France may be many things but France ceased being "Christian" a long time ago.

What is happening now is good for France. It will help to pull France's head out of its collective arse just as Pearl Harbor helped America pull its head out of its collective arse.

Over 2200 years ago, my namesake wrote:

"There are two ways by which all men may reform themselves, either by learning from their own errors or from those of others; the former makes a more striking demonstration, the latter a less painful one."

Up to now, France has been too stupid and egotistical to learn from the errors of others. They are now experiencing a more striking demonstration and learning a more painful lesson from their own errors.

Maybe, in the case of France, Polybius was wrong and the old Spanish proverb was correct:

"Nadie escarmienta por cabeza ajena."

"Nobody learns his lesson through another person's head."

Maybe we will have to save the french once again since they cant help themselves.

Surely, you jest! That's when I will picket if we should ever again dare help those bastards!

Does the Food for Oil scandal ring any bells? Does their refusal NOT to support the removal of Saddam ring any bells? Does their refusal to send troops to help in the rebuilding of Iraq, perhaps ring a bell or two? Does their ACTIVE undermining of ALL things American before or after Iraq, ring no bells? The world income tax they are pushing the UN to impose on wealthly nations [read:America,] no bells yet?...and on & on & on...

There's enough bells ringing, it sounds like every angel in Heaven has earned their wings!

Two-thirds of Christendom was lost to the Islam before the First Crusade brought their expansionism to a halt. Human nature being what it is, a similar loss will be required before Christendom again gets serious about the threat. And, I'm not so sure France qualifies as being part of Christendom any more. If the 'civilized' world has to lose part of itself before it can save itself, I'm having a hard time thinking of a country besides France I'd rather see go.

Let me clarify: In the past, French society/culture/philosophy was often enlightened and honorable. As it stands today, French society/culture/philosophy is evil.

The Frenchies won't fight for Christianity or anything related; but they have no choice but to fight - as best they can - for secularism, and the Islamofascists frighten them as much as radical Protestants or Christians. Myself, I would absolutely oppose any American assistance to the French as they deal with their Muslim problem. I would certainly oppose ANY use of American troops on French soil, for ANY reason.

The French are on their own on this one (but are free to secure German or Russian allies, or whomever else). Even the French can't play the appeasement card because the cultural divide is so broad and stark. After all, who would sign the appeasement papers on the other side? Until the Frenchies can answer that question, they have to fight by default - all of their sensibilities to the contrary notwithstanding.

Paris suburbs may burn, but if these stunts turn into center-Paris areas around major monuments, then the merdre will hit the fan.

Even that didn't wake us up. We waited for Pearl Harbor (a military estab) until finally getting ticked off enough to enter the fray.

Although we lived through a civilian attack of equal magnitude, we are still playing 'hide the bible' with these cavemen.

There was a lot of separatist rhetoric in the black ghettos, now rapidly turning Hispanic in so many places. Don't be mislead by the rhetoric. The rhetoric is an excuse for the pathology. If you asked these young "Muslim" rioters, disrespectful of the parents, about the rhetoric (in this case religious) in a candid moment, I suspect they would tell you it is all jive. Riots are fun. It's party time. I think the religious theme is way overdone, because many of this need to overdo it.
