I believe it, Here in Az our lovely governor is still trying to force Spanish in the schools even though the majority voted against it. Democrats will do anything to appease their base.

ABC Family, and Fox Family before it, has nothing to do with families. It's just a garbage bin for the big network's old reruns and TV shows. Most, if not all of it, is not family-friendly entertainment.
At least they do play reruns of "The Tick." SPOON!!!!!!!! B-)

To: Paul_Denton; All
I seem to be out of touch with the world anymore. ON another thread this week, I was chastened, for saying that to sleep around and such, on the first, or after several dates, is wrong, and that if someone is a Christian, they should not do this at all. For this belief I was called a goody-goody, and holier than thou. I was misquoted in saying that if someone did something like that and THEN changed, that they were tarred for life. I NEVER said that, or felt that way. I am all for people changing, and becoming decent, moral citizens. I do feel that if someone is doing that stuff NOW, that they are doing wrong,(NOT what they may had done years ago, before they changed and "wised up") and that I desire a woman that does not sleep around, and has good morals. I would not ,however hold that against a woman, who had done that previously, but changed her ways, and become a good, moral person. We all make mistakes.
Is that a wrong view to hold?

I don't remember for sure, but I think 1080 Avalanche (snowboarding). Not the best game ever, but passable.

Absolutely not...i totally agree with you. I was a virgin until I married my husband at 26. Since his death, I have not dated at all and would be scared to let someone touch me unless we were married. Some may think it is old fashion, but as a Christian woman, I see God's wisdom in this.

I was just going to suggest you take over the thread.
Good for you for stepping up!
Good night!

Lol, that's funny about your Spanish class.
In mine, we started the second semester with a new teacher from Puerto Rico. He was a sweet, kind old Mr. Rogers type in his late 50's. He would say, "I'm dismissing class early so I can talk to my girlfriend" and didn't seem to pressured to get us to learn anything.
With only a few weeks left in the semester, he suffered a major heart attack and had to have seven bi passes. His replacement was a stern, harsh dictator who was determined to teach us fluent Spanish in the few weeks left.
This, coupled with the fact that this foreign language class stupidly met once a week, at night, for 3 hours.

Man, you have GOT to get another hobby. I mean, just get the attitude, that "if it happens(finding a girl), then it does." If not, just try to be happy. It is what I have to do, and I have been at this a LOT longer than you, or pcottraux. (besides, you want a REAL date, with someone who really likes you, not an "arrangment, designed to get someone else's attention", as I told you of earlier. If you rush too soon, you could fall victim to a predatory female, who only wants to use you. It takes a lONG time to get over that hurt, too. ).
I agree with RCA2000's advice, get a hobby for now and take it slow on the dating side, I know myself, I am into ham radio and role playing games to name a few. Also, I'm trying to dig myself out of a financial funk so I have to work on priorities although if there is an opportunity there, I would go for it. My buddy on the other hand, has always rushed it and gotten hurt. Right now, he met a grl form Canada and he brought her down to shack up with him. Bad move IMHO. I've said it many times, like with my career, with giels, I'm asking God to take the lead and guide me.
Anyhoo, I haven't got time to worry about dating right now. I am about 1/3 of the way rewriting my novel into a script, and have a goal to be done in about 2 more weeks, in time to make it to the deadline(early bird), for the contest.
I know that feeling, between working, doing a few webpages and running errands on the weekend as well as looking for a new stove and figuring out my electrical problems in my '94 Ford "Exploder," I feel like I have more miles on my than Osama Bin Laden. B-) Oh yeah, also got to take Pansy, she will be 19 next year, my calico cat for her checkup.
Sorry about your week, mine was not too bad, but not good. But hey, we are all alive, healthy, and there is always tomorrow!!

I may have mentioned this last week. But After Church last Sunday, my cousin Brenda was MUCH meaner than usual, toward me. I am always prepared, for her to say things like I embarass her, when I am around her, and such. But that day, she went WAY over the top!!
I know I've missed something so I have a gap, but why does she treat you that way? I know in my extended family, I get treated like I'm all thumbs and a buffoon that can do no right so I've had experiences of that type.

You don't remember the Regan years? Too bad. I was 17 during the election for his second term. I remember it well. The debates, where ol Mondull thought he had the better hand, (the FIRST debate was not the best for RR), and then, on the second one, Ron blew Mondull away. Plus, when Mondull said (and I HEARD IT MYSELF), "I will raise your taxes" I could NOT believe it.
I remember the "morning in America" infomercial-style Regan campaign ad, that was about 30 minutes long, IIRC. It had "God Bless the USA" in it, IIRC.
I remember Danny boy(Rather), during the election night, describing"Ol Walter must be saying"let's gather around the fire boys, it's startin' to get cold", as Regan kept winning state after state, and Mondale had nothing.
I recall being active, in telling EVERYONE I knew, to vote for Regan, and bringing in articles about SDI,and such, for school Bulletin Boards.
Ah....... Good memories!!!!

I was a straight A student, but got an F in Spanish my first year. Had a meeting with the principal and my Mom and myself, they changed it to a C, but still, I was pretty frustrated. If we spoke ANY English in class, we were marked down, could not even ask a question in English.
Now, I experience the opposite. My gardener sold the business to some guy that keeps breaking my sprinklers and I can not communicate with them at all, because they don't speak English. I even went to a translating program that I googled to tell him to let me know when he breaks my sprinklers, etc and he told me..."no can read"...

Definently *NOTHING* wrong to desire a woman who has good morals like that. I agree, if a woman changed her ways, then it should not matter what she done in the past. We all make mistakes, there is nothing wrong with that. Infact we learn from them.
I was misquoted in saying that if someone did something like that and THEN changed, that they were tarred for life. I NEVER said that, or felt that way.
I do not see why anyone would mis-quote you like that. I agree with you. People who change are NOT tarred for life.
