Okay, now that you mention it, it is a little on the heavy side. And I will be carrying it around nearly everywhere I go.
Now I'm back to square one.
Rats. Sorry 'bout that...
Cute fellow in post 1, is that you?
I pinged you over to another thread, LOL, it's about what can happen after you get married.
Heh...
Well, if and when I ever find a permanent job here, that's on my list of wants.
We'll see! But the shopping is one of the most fun parts! And this time, I COULD even look at systems in stores. Instant gratification is way cool...
No, that's alright -- that's what I need, although I have looked at lighter models and said to myself, "You won't be happy with it. You'll regret it" (because they're not as powerful, or too expensive).
I'm confused...
I am keeping up with this thread, in between working on my script. I need to have it transcribed, spell checked, and proofed, by about the 21st, to beat the "early bird" deadline, for the Kiros contest.
And extremely dangerous. I've been wanting a notebook for quite a few months now, but I keep waiting, thinking that maybe I'll prove that I don't need it.
But the opposite is happening.
I wouldn't go with any of the super light ones, personally. I know I'd end up carrying around so many extra batteries and drives and such that it'd make up for any weight savings on the system itself, plus they usually are lacking in power and have lousy keyboards (my personal pet peeve).
Had a friend that had a Sony Vaio that was fairly big but still pretty thin and light. It was purrrrty - nice screen, too. I have no idea what the reliability was, though - haven't talked to her in awhile, and it's not like I often check up on friends' systems. Not now that I'm no longer local to help them with spyware removal and all. But I wonder if any of the Sonys might fit the bill for ya...
I said, "Move where I am, and I'll feed you." Obviously, there was no chance that you would do that.
You said, "LOL! I still have to finish my degree before I can move." This implied that there was a chance, only you needed to finish your degree first (although I know there's not).
In the movie "Dumb and Dumber, Lloyd asks Mary what the chances are of them getting together.
"Not good" she says.
"Like one in a thousand?" he asks.
"More like one in a million" she replies.
"So you're telling me there's a chance. YEAH! I read you."
He was deluded into thinking that she would want to be with him. I was just trying to be humorous with that same line of thought.
Well, folks...now that it's approaching Saturday morning instead of Friday night, I'd best be getting to bed!
Catch you tomorrow night, most likely! I'm gonna be here alone. Got a nice old movie to watch, but that doesn't take all evening...
Manos?
Didn't realize that. Yup, that's different. Still in all, get all the rest you can. It's easier to give up than prevail, I admire you!
What will your degree be? I'm sure I'm not the only one who wants to know.
So many pranks such little time.
Best costume I Dream of Jeannie AND a hospital patient in a gown.
It probably would have helped if I remembered the movie. LOL!
A guy in one of my classes has a Gateway, and that is the loudest notebook I have ever heard. There has to be something wrong with it for the fan to be that loud.
The HP I tested at Best Buy today (a step below the one at the link I gave you) had a marvelous keyboard -- ultra quiet and responsive.
Good night, Rosie.
I'm getting a PhD in Accounting. My area is taxation.
No, that's not me -- I thought it was a funny picture.
