Poison guitarist sentenced to jail
C.C. DeVille gets 80 days for DUI charge
LOS ANGELES, California (AP) -- Poison guitarist C.C. DeVille was sentenced to 80 days in jail after pleading no contest to driving while intoxicated.
The 43-year-old rocker known for his over-the-top antics hit a parked vehicle August 24 while he was backing out of the driveway of his girlfriend's home, prosecutors said. He allegedly rammed another parked car, deploying his vehicle's air bags and injuring his girlfriend.

Man, that's pretty harsh. I suppose they're also going to tell us that the immortal drum solo in In A Gadda Da Vida isn't up to par? Oh, the humanity!
That would be Warrant, not Poison, but yes...
He even voted GOP when he was a crackhead.
Brett is one of the few guys in his genre that can still sing just as well as in 1988. I saw Warrant a couple years ago and Jani Lane has aged about as well as Keith Richards...and can't sing worth a crap anymore either.
CC... Canadian Club?
Brett's a diabetic, so he's kept his health up. Poison is probably the last of the Hair Bands that can tour on a large scale. Still, the man should give it up already and lose the cowboy hats and bandanas (and that's coming from a guy who styles his hair with a Gillette).
Nonsense of course, but I freaked him out and he avoided me in the halls of the H.S. for the rest of the year.
"Ain't lookin' for nothin' but a good time"
That was Warrant dude.
LOL! I actually saw Possessed live back in the day. Who ever guessed Larry LaLonde would go on to such great things with Primus? ;)
I actually like Slayer AND Poison, but for different reasons. Musically Slayer is 100 times better, but Poison is good party music and they still put on a hell of a show.
Warrant was decent in their day, and I've met Jani personally. He's from Akron so he's around from time to time. Nice guy but too cynical about his work with Warrant. The guy's shot to hell healthwise from what I gather.
I also style my hair with a Gillette...but somewhere in my mother's photo album collection is a picture of 12-year-old RockinRight, circa 1989, with his hair past his shoulders, and a Motley Crue t-shirt on...doing that hand symbol that the headbangers did...
Yep. Kids nowadays look at that and think they're just really flat-chested ugly scrawny Britney Spears impersonators. (Except for the guy on the right, who's more of a Christina Skankuliera type.)
I never understood why these guys were popular. They were about the worst of the "lite metal" hair bands. But, in any case, I hope ol' C.C. (yeah, that's his real name) gets sober and straight.

I too did my stint as a hair farmer back in the day. Maybe the AquaNet killed off the crop.
Hair bands killed Rock. They are the reason we had to suffer through the Grunge period. Hell even now the only decent radio station here in Yuma Az changed it's format from Classic Rock to Pop. We already had a crappy pop station here. Now we have two crappy pop stations!!!! And it's all because of Hair Bands!!!!!!!!!!! This clown should be in prison for the murder of Rock and Roll!!!!
Good Lord ... looks like a Culture Club reunion.
I agree with you there. I have to correct myself, I didn't care much for Warrant, but in retrospect Poison was okay. I met Brett Michaels once here in Pittsburgh, he was a good guy and pretty down to earth.
My musical tastes are very broad Top 5 bands are 1) Manowar 2) Marillion 3) Metallica 4) Savatage 5) Anthrax? Rob Zombie? Megadeth? Hard to say, but I also like Creed, Linkin Park, Twisted Sister, Paul Simon, Sting, older Madonna, Ice-T, and L.L. Cool J.
Larry LaLonde kicked ass! Possessed couldn't tour during the school year 'cause he was the same age we were at the time , 17-18 yrs old!
I dig Poison once in a while. They were fun and didn't take themselves too seriously.
Much better than that "nu-metal" garbage.
