Pettite vs. Buehrle

The ump should have checked the ball for Dye.

Ping! Are you watching our White Sox?
Just got home. Watched part of the game at the local bar & grill. Those seats are hard as a rock though.
The score was 4-2 when we left. What the heck, did the sox get a homer w/bases loaded?
They should highlight it, its getting ridiculous. Everyone understands that there will be a blown call now and then. But there's been way too many now, Chicago has benefited greatly from them, and while Chisox fans may love that, most fans hate to see one side get too many of the calls, especially at pivotal points.
Then again, it wasn't the ump that served up a grand slam gopher ball on the first pitch.
No. The plate ump decided that he didn't like the way things were going, so he simply set it all up thus.
Crappy Qualls first pitches are too.
Hopefully, the Astro relievers can shake these things off and get back to form. Qualls pitched well last night, but threw 24 pitches. We will need Qualls, Wheeler, and Lidge pitching well to win this series.
They said 7th inning was too early to bring in Lidge. Maybe so, and the Astros were up by 2 at the time, but with the bases loaded and Konerko up...He'd have to go almost three innings, true...but with the game on the line...
Then again, it wasn't the ump that served up a grand slam gopher ball on the first pitch.
Exactly...you just made my point!!!
These playoffs, and this World Series, is now OFFICIALLY A COMPLETE JOKE.
The batter before the grand slam was hit by a pitch???
The Chicago mob, the Cook County Democratic party and others HAVE GOT TO BE PAYING OFF THESE UMPIRES!
did you forget to take your meds???
No, your point was that the announcers shouldn't keep talking about the horrible call. But it was huge, loaded the bases, and prompted a pitching change. A pivotal call late in game 2 in Chicago that benefited the White Sox and not only changed the game but quite possibly the entire series. Not to mention some other questionable calls in their favor in LA.
leadoff hit for Bagwell in the 9th
How does home field advantage play here? Had the NL won the All Star Game it would be first two and last 2 in Houston, and middle 3 in Chicago...
Why did he swing at that?! Ugh.
Are you sure about that? Sox had a better record than the Astros, so wouldn't they have hosted 1,2,6,7 anyway? Or was it previously alternated between the leagues year by year?
No easy decisions. It was just a bad first pitch by Qualls.
