Well fellow republicans, the title says it all. After a huge scuffle with a now ex friend (democrat), I am now a full blooded republican. I won't go into details why I decided to change, but I now see the light. Democrats are liars, deceiving, and very discriminative.
I never thought I would consider myself as a republican, but I know believe. It will take some time for me to adjust and to rethink a lot of my positions on social issues, but I think we all know how theyll change.
But for the meantime, I have a lot of emptiness and pain right now. So if everyone could give me a warm welcome and a huge hug, it would help me a lot. I am hurting inside and just need some reassurance that Ive done the right thing..
Thanks.
I have not drawn in awhile. Not since 2001 lol.
I haven't written since summer 2004. I used to write fiction in my college creative writing class. That was fun stuff.
Except my screenplay. I forgot about that.
WOW. That is a long time. It is fun though.
Screenplay? Cool :)
I remember telling someone here about my fiction, but I don't know if it was you.
My pinnacle short story was called "Aufsagen Wiederholt." Loosely translated, that's "Repititions Recalled" or "To Repeat Repeatedly." The concept: in the year 2,344, people who tell lame jokes and repeat themselves often have been arrested, labeled enemies of the state, and deported to an island where a seperate society has been built for them.
I had another one called "The Perpetual Liar." In that one, we have two narrators telling their versions of the events. The first is a grocery store employee who was recently fired. The second is the manager who fired him. Each one's account is completely outlandish and overblown, making that narrator sound like an innocent and righteous do-gooder and the other character the evil, twisted villain.
This was out of the class, but I later wrote a small one called "Oliver Mitchellson Has a Dream," about a man who really, sincerely aspires to be an Oscar Mayer Wiener. He is so determined to find a way to transform himself into a hot dog, it becomes his destructive obsession, alienating his family and destroying his home life.
Of course, there are far more complex details to those stories, but that's the basic idea behind each one.
Got to go to bed. See you tomorrow night.
Otherwise ya won't gets no welcome to free republic outta me...
Cool :) You never told me.
First one is very unie. I like it.
Sound one sounds even more itneresting. Wold make a good comedy.
WOW. THe thid one about the Oscar Mayar. That sounds a mix of funny and heavy.
I have no idea what to name my novel yet. Just concentrating on the story.
BTW goodnight.
I have been a conservative as long as I have lived, and those tired emotional arguments continue to come up over and over again when I battle my liberal friends.
Some things just don't change.
Welcome to the conservative side. ;)
That is a simply wonderful page! Thank you for posting that link!
Welcome to FreeRepublic.
No response at all to all of the nice [and not so nice] things that have been posted to you.
Are you a troll, or not?
R.S.V.P.
Yes, they are. Sometimes they even lie and deceive their way onto this board.
Don't you agree?
Oh, I think the fire might be just beginning. . . .
I would think so. Who changes party because of emotions but has no change of views first? Liberal trolls.
It will take some time for me to adjust and to rethink a lot of my positions on social issues, but I think we all know how theyll change.
You're welcome!
